Thank you once again to Regenda Homes Fleetwood for the use of the windows at our former Lord Street premises to share news of upcoming community events and wellbeing groups.

The poster display has been updated and includes 'Save The Date' posters for several popular events returning later in the year and something new!

We also list dates and details of these on our website, see the page https://www.healthierfleetwood.co.uk/communityevents.

Healthier Fleetwood is one of the community partners supporting plans to put together an all-year-round calendar of events.

If you are organising a charity or community event in the FY7 postcode please let us know so we can add it to the listing or if you spot anything that needs amending.

Thank you.

Many of the 100+ health and wellbeing opportunities we share from the Fleetwood community are daytime activities, here's one that's held in the evenings at Fleetwood Methodist Church ...

We’re not a craft group.

Yes, most weeks there’s something creative going on — but some evenings it’s games, quizzes, food, or simply sitting together and chatting.
If you love crafts, this group is for you.
If you don’t have the time, energy, or patience for colouring, painting, or faffing — this group is for you.
If you’re happiest quietly observing from the corner, you are welcome here.
If you love being part of the conversation and the liveliness, we’ve saved you a seat.
Don’t drink tea? That’s fine — we’ve got cordial, fizzy drinks, coffee, and water.
Like your tea strong with two sugars? I’ll put the kettle on.
Want to arrive half an hour early? The door will be open, the radiators roaring, and you’ll be met with a warm welcome.
Can’t make it every week but fancy dropping in now and then? We’d love that too.
Got a few quid for the donation tin? We appreciate you.
Can’t spare anything this week? We still appreciate you.
This group is about more than crafts. It’s about kindness, togetherness, compassion, and a listening ear.
Please know that you are always welcome, always valued, and always loved ❤️
We are fully inclusive — not just in a practical sense (our building is fully accessible), but in a human one too. If you’ve ever felt like you don’t quite fit in, or like you’ve never been fully understood for who you are, this could be your safe space.
And yes — if bringing your dog helps you feel confident enough to come along, they’re welcome too.

We're looking forward to joining our friends from Fleetwood Town Community Trust and Westview Community Association to support the Food Appeal for The Pantry Food Bank - Fleetwood.

If you're coming to Town's game against top-of-the table Bromley on Saturday, please bring along a donation of a non-perishable food item to be passed on the foodbank. Collection points will be at Highbury Avenue turnstiles, Club Shop and Jim's Bar. Thank you.

Town's Ronan Coughlan shares why he's supporting the appeal in the video below ...

On ... a reminder of some of the support available within the Fleetwood community.

KCA Cancer support group is run by and for people affected by cancer, as patients, family members and carers. They meet weekly in Fleetwood for friendly conversation and to help each other through difficult times. Join the Facebook group to find out more.

The exercise prehab/rebab with Jules from Fitness 50, supported by Fleetwood Town Community Trust, are designed to help people maintain and improve their fitness through illness. Thursday sessions are specifically for cancer patients.

And the Fylde Coast Macmillan Information and Support Service team based at The HUB Fleetwood offer a wide range of advice, support, signposting and most of all, somewhere to talk for those coping with cancer and for their families and carers.

Thank you to all the staff and volunteers for their amazing work.

If you're joining The Cod Army this afternoon at Highbury Stadium for the game against Notts County, look out for important messages ahead of World Cancer Day next week.

These include the Macmillan's drop-in centre at The HUB Fleetwood and prehab and rehab classes at venues in Fleetwood and Thornton.

Follow the pages for each organisation to find out more about their work.

And next Saturday, 7th February, Healthier Fleetwood will join staff and volunteers Fleetwood Town Community Trust and Westview Community Association before the League Two game with Bromley. We'll be collecting donations of non-perishable food in support of The Pantry Food Bank - Fleetwood.
