Every life is a unique story. This lady had a life full of laughter, love, and those brilliant little quirks that make someone truly unforgettable. ✨

​This week, I had the absolute privilege of helping a lovely family celebrate the life of a wonderful woman. Looking back through her journey, it was so moving to hear about her vibrant spirit. From her early days keeping people active as a fitness instructor, to her deeply caring heart as a nurse, and the absolute adoration she had for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

​She was a woman who loved and lived life in her own way, and wasn't afraid to speak her mind! Which is just fabulous. X

It’s exactly those authentic, straight-talking, and funny details that make a person who they are, and it is an honour to help families remember and tell those precious memories together.

​Holding this beautiful family in my thoughts as they remember a legendary Mum, Nan, Great-Nan, and partner. 🤍

There is a special kind of strength in a mother who always puts her children first. Yesterday’s service was a beautiful tribute to a woman whose greatest pride was her family.

​Whether it was a simple train ride to the seaside or a long awaited dream trip to see the history of Athens, she made every moment count for those she loved 💗

It was a moving reminder that the most precious legacy we leave behind is the warmth and love we give to our children and grandchildren.

This week, I had the honour of officiating a service for a lady who was truly at the heart of her local community.

​Known for her incredible tenacity and her 'can-do' attitude, she lived 83 wonderful years full of laughter, hard work, and a deep love for her family. We shared stories of her performing days in the 50s and her famous 'no-nonsense' spirit that stayed with her until the very end 💜

​The Purple Feather? A dearest ​member of the family shared how they asked for a purple feather, not a white one, as a sign from their loved one, because she was just that vibrant and unique. The chapel was lit in purple light as we listened to her favorite Shirley Bassey songs and celebrated a life defined by kindness and strength.

​Rest in peace to a wonderful lady, and my thoughts are with her lovely family 💜

Today I had the honour of officiating a service for a lady who was clearly at the heart of her family. As a celebrant, my main aim is always to mirror the personality of the person we are remembering and today that meant a service filled with warmth, straightforward honesty, and even a little Daniel O'Donnell!

Today marks my 9th wedding anniversary, and I spent the morning exactly where I feel most at peace 🫶 Walking through the trees with my dog 🐕

​In my work as a funeral celebrant, I spend a lot of time listening to stories of lifetimes. The big milestones, the quiet habits, and the legacies people leave behind. It makes me aware of how precious the "now" is 💓

​Today, I’m simply feeling grateful. Grateful for all the years of loving. For the unwavering support of my friends and family, and for the reminder that love is the thread that connects everything we do 🙏

​Holding space for others has taught me to hold onto these moments a little tighter. Hug your loved ones today. ❤️
