This month we are celebrating Back To School and earlier in the week week we celebrated Autumn Equinox by going out into the gardens and collecting leaves and twigs in our Nature Class. Residents then knuckled down in their Art Class and became very artistic with what we had collected and turned them into beautiful paintings 🍂 🍁

Vera enjoyed a wonderful day yesterday celebrating with her family, followed by a second celebration today surrounded by her friends here at the home. 💙

🎨✨ This weekend we embraced our Back to School theme with a colourful art history session all about the legendary Vincent van Gogh! 🌻⭐

Residents enjoyed learning fascinating facts about his life and work before putting brush to canvas, taking inspiration from Van Gogh’s most iconic pieces. The creativity flowed, and the results were truly wonderful — our residents showed their inner artists with pride! 🖌️💙

What a joyful and inspiring way to revisit our school days while celebrating the magic of art! 🌟

🎉✨ A very special celebration for our wonderful Jean, who turned 90 yesterday! 💙

Jean started her day surrounded by friends here at the home before heading out in the afternoon to enjoy time with her lovely family. Of course, no birthday would be complete without a delicious homemade cake from our talented chef 🎂💐.

What a milestone, and what a day filled with laughter, love, and memories. Happy Birthday, Jean — you’re as fabulous as ever! 🥰💙

Yesterday afternoon our residents gathered in the lounge for a lively Baycroft Choir rehearsal! 🎶
Together we sang classic favourites including Twist and Shout, Daydream Believer, Que Sera Sera, Sweet Caroline, Da Doo Ron Ron, and Any Dream Will Do.
The atmosphere was filled with music, laughter, and plenty of dancing – it was a joyful afternoon that everyone thoroughly enjoyed. 💃🕺✨

🕊️🎨🌸 Creativity, Nature & Sunshine! 🌞🌿✨

Today we added to our bird collection for the upcoming Flower Festival at Flitwick Church 🕊️ by crafting beautiful birds out of wool and cardboard, each one as unique as the resident who made it. 🧶🐦
In the afternoon, we soaked up the last days of summer with a garden scavenger hunt. From flowers and herbs to giant leaves and hidden treasures of nature, we discovered wonders right on our doorstep. 🍃🌺
To finish, we created sensory baskets filled with the sights, smells, and textures of the garden, so even those who stayed indoors could still share in the magic. 🥰
What a truly joyful day full of laughter, creativity, and connection! 💕
