These are the most complicated of cases I find.

Colour correction.

When a root canal has been performed, sometimes the tooth can discolour.
Disguising this with composite is quite a task.

We can never confirm complete coverage. We are always very realistic with potential outcomes.
But I think you can agree, without seeing the original, you wouldn’t know there were discoloured teeth in the after photo 😊

Composite bonding lifespan??

How long do they last?
This is a question that may be on your mind if considering having them done.

If you drink tea and coffee, eat curries, eat bolognaise.
Basically regularly eat and drink things that would stain a white T-shirt if you dropped the item onto it, your bonding will likely stain over time.

Many factors determine how much they will stain and indeed wear or chip.

This includes things like:

🦷 Frequency of drinks and foods that contain stain

🦷 How well you clean them

🦷 Do you attend your maintenance appointments regularly?

🦷 Do you take great care in avoiding pressures to your bonds? (eg avoid biting your nails, holding objects with your teeth like hair pins, screws, etc)

🦷 Do you grind your teeth when stressed?

🦷 How hard do you brush your teeth?

🦷 Do you play a contact sport like boxing or rugby?

These are all examples of lifestyles that can affect the lifespan of your bonding.

Don’t fear!! …. Once they start to look a bit tired we can reduce the outer layers and recover them.
