❤️Scar therapy❤️
Regular followers of my page will know that I’ve had a couple of operations on my abdomen this past year and have been treating my scars myself with the treatments I use for my CS therapy treatment.
Today marks 1 year since the first and biggest of my ops, where I was cut hip to hip to have hernias and a 5cm gap in my muscles repaired, and I wanted to share the progress of the scar.
As soon as I hit 8 weeks post op and got the ok from my surgeon, I began a regular daily routine of massage, oil and silicon treatment, and you can see for yourself how amazingly well the scar has responded. It’s smooth, flat and practically invisible. And bear in mind, I can’t physically manage to carry out all the different techniques on myself, so imagine how even quicker it could have improved with someone else doing it to me!
When I had my CS nearly 20 years ago, I had no concept of scar care and as it result, my old scar (which was cut away during this op) was raised, ropey and lumpy in comparison, and still caused me pain and discomfort years later. This scar, despite being 4x the size, is comfortable and gives me no pain at all now 👍
There is absolutely no upper age limit on treating CS scars, so even years down the line, it’s possible to improve the feel, look and texture of one with the treatments I offer. This can be really helpful if you are anticipating having another CS in the future, hopefully avoiding the formation of new issues.
Feel free to get in touch to discuss your scar and I can help you to decide if scar therapy is something which can be of benefit to you!
