We produce blue plaque window vinyls that commemorate the previous occupants of your house.

Our blue plaques will show the names, dates and occupations from historical records from 1881 -1939 (of one or more) of the people who lived in your home years before you. It may have been home to a photographer, bath chair proprietor, sulphate maker, journalist, bucket maker, timber yard furnace stoker, cook, railway signalman, professional violinist, part time money lender or sugar boiler.

These vinyl plaques can be applied inside your front window to give visitors and passers-by a glimpse of the history of your home.

This just in. In 2023 I did a house history for Golborne resident and was delighted when I found a famous seed geneticist living in her beautiful home . I was delighted as was she and thought that was the end of it . How wrong was I. A few weeks ago Keira contacted me to say that Wigan Council who give out two official blue plaques every year , had chosen her home as a result of my research. Chuffed to bits with this . I will be going to meet her and to the unveiling in June. As I always say you never, ever know what is waiting to be discovered in your home. Happy Weekend all. Simon

Yesterday's sold out talk by , hosted by .Debby told the story of our recent research for our first book about . Debby wove a wonderful talk about the six houses that make up the hotel, its past guests and owners , including a Chinese ambassador, a field marshall, a famous actress, a prince , maharaja and a suffragette. If you have ever wondered who might have lived in your house in the past , why not buy one of our deep dives that looks into all the previous occupants. You never ever know what is waiting to be discovered.

This was a very important day for the team .beforeus Our first book on what turned out to be an epic piece of research for our amazing historian and researcher launced in December .Today Debby will be giving a talk on what she found out at 2.30pm ( arrive at 2pm) at The Cornerstone Centre Castle Hill Ave CT20 2QR..Only £5 .If you can't make the talk and want to find out more pop across to Amazon and look for The Clifton Hotel Folkestone and buy the book . I always love it when a new business takes over from another one and goes out of their way to keep the vinyl up..So I was very grateful to the owners and .a.z.u tattoo artists for doing just that in the former home of who is now just down the road. Wishing you guys loads of success on the street.

The team at Herebeforeus are super excited to announce that we have just been commissioned for our very first deep dive on a Scottish Castle. A beauty in the Highlands dating from the 1500s. So lots of history for our brilliant researcher to get her teeth into and a wonderful opportunity for to produce another fabulous illustration. All will be revealed next year. I feel a trip to Scotland coming on. ❤️

Many happy returns to on their second birthday today . Popped in for lunch and as ever was greeted with the same lovely friendly enthusiasm as always, not to mention my fav yummy sandwich. If you are a lover of cheese, this is the place to go . Lots of other goodies on store too. Pleased to see my plaque still looking great too.

Its been eight months since our first meeting with and last night we launched our first book at the hotel at their first birthday celebration. An incredible night , entertained by traditional Sri Lankan dancers , beautiful food and continuous champers , what an incredible night it was . Thank you to the brilliant historian and writer for hundreds of hours of research and tireless editing and to for his wonderful book jacket , chuffed that I managed to get one of my photos on the back cover and also was really not expecting a beautiful gift of flowers supplied by

It only feels like yesterday that I visited Elizabeth in her beautiful home in the NE . but actually it was June 2024..She was the first recipient of our illustrated deep dive and now 1.5 years later we have just completed our 25 th with and , this following the 15 we did without the illustration. We have some exciting news coming up soon too with another addition to our products. Another day, another anniversary. This time for Carly, owner of congratulations on 6 months in businesses in this, the most challenging of climates.
