Non stop today. We were at Asda cafe early! Joy and Yvonne had a lovely morning chatting in the cafe. Yvonne chose a nice wedge of cheese cake to go with her coffee and Joy had a chicken toastie. There was a crowd of residents waiting for a pre lunch drink of sherry when we returned to Brampton. There was lots of chat and laughter. Lunch was lovely and during lunch we sand happy birthday to Sylvia. This afternoon was great. The residents (and managers) got involved in Kerry’s art class a painted a beautiful sea scape, with lovely pinks and blue shades. They all did great and were very pleased with their creations. Marion had a visit from an old friend and spent the afternoon in the lounge catching up on old times.

Happy birthday to our lovely Sylvia. She had a lovely lunch today with other residents in the dining room. We all sang happy birthday to Sylvia and she opened her cards and presents. After opening her present, Sylvia asked if she could return to her room and taste her present!! Happy birthday from all of us Sylvia. Xx 🎁🎉🎂

There was a bit of a relaxed feel about our day today. This morning the were lots of visitors coming to see their family members. June saw her two daughter, Joy saw her daughter who had just returned from holiday and Gred had a visitor too. The residents in the lounge listened to Perry Como on Alexa and everyone seemed chilled. We had a delicious lunch of steak and mushroom pie, followed by a banana loaf, which was cooked by Kelly.
This afternoon the residents watched The Thursday Murder Club which was really enjoyable.

Today has been a lovely day; we had Lisa here this morning, cutting and styling everyone's hair, but some residents rushed back off to their rooms before we managed to get pictures. We have had a few guests in for our Community lunch and then the wonderful Georgie came to sing for us this afternoon. The last time she was here she had just got engaged so we were all thrilled to hear about the wedding and see her gorgeous dress and pictures!

Today the staff practiced their planking ready for our upcoming fitness day. Trevor was very good at it and won today’s challenge. The lounge was busy during pre lunch drinks and there was lots of chat and laughter. Yvonne went out for lunch with her friend at the Marco Pierre White restaurant and said the food was absolutely delicious. This afternoon we played target practice in the lounge, and it was a great competition. The residents all did so well. There was no clear winner.

We are having a refurbishment!
We have had an interior designer, a builder, and a professional joiner in, who together are going to manage the refurb. This will involve updating the dining room, lounge area, toilet and bathroom. Please check out our folders in the home to have a look at what we are planning.

It was a bright and breezy morning but we still ventured to Asda this morning, and had coffee and cake. We discovered that the carrot cake is nicer in Asda than Morrisons. We also went into town and did a bit of shopping. When we got back to Brampton we had a pre lunch drink before tucking into one of Gabors lovely lunches. This afternoon the walk was declined because of the wind, so we did a quiz instead. As usual the residents were very good at answering the questions and they sailed through the quiz. During the quiz the tea trolley came around and the residents had a second piece of carrot cake that Michelle had made. Which was delicious.

Pam was on babysitting duties today. Pam took care of blossom all day and made sure she was happy and content. I think Pam and blossom have a special bond. Pam loves that chicken.

We had a full on day today. This morning we had lovely Lorna our podiatrist come in to see to our residents feet. Her list was long but they all waited their turn. Lorna is such a lovely person and she always chats with them and makes them feel special. There was also a lovely treat at lunchtime as Michelle made one of her delicious cheesecakes. It was enjoyed by everyone. This afternoon Deefa came in to meet the residents. He was welcomed by everyone and had such a fuss made of him. He visited each resident in their room, and in every room he was given a treat. He was pleased to see everyone too.
