Our day today. The sun had got its hat on so there were plenty of residents sitting or walking around the garden, or sitting by their garden doors to enjoy the fresh air and warmth. We had Andrea come in to give a massage to those who wanted one. At lunch time Gabor cooked a lovely meal which the residents said was delicious. This afternoon we had a pamper session and we had a queue of residents waiting to have their nails done. David also received his new walking frame which he is over the moon with as no one can hear him wondering around anymore! We all tasted Janet’s birthday cake this afternoon which was a Victoria sponge cake made locally. It was delicious.

Wishing our Janet a wonderful 90th Birthday today. She’s had lots of lovely gifts and cards.Janet’s daughter Jo brought her a really large Victoria sponge cake. It was so big, we could all have a slice, it was delicious. Janet asked what the fuss was all about. I told Janet that it was her birthday, she was 90, so we were all celebrating! Janet’s response?
‘Oh bloody hell!’ Which made us all chuckle. Happy birthday Janet. We hope you’ve had a wonderful birthday. 🍰🎊🎉🎂

Please support our Kerry-Anne who is raising money for Alzheimer’s. she is climbing Lochnagar in Scotland! What a task she has set herself, and she is far braver than anyone we know. Good luck Kerry! We will look forward to hearing all about your challenge, and hope everyone can donate a little towards this fabulous charity.

We have had such a lovely day here at Brampton Lodge. Lots of residents have had visits from their friends and family, some spent time in the garden, some chatted in their rooms and some relaxed in the lounge. This afternoon we had the amazing Emilee Boyce with us, joined by her very talented Boyce's Boys, to sing and play live music for us. The residents said they absolutely loved it and they were all very impressed with how well they all played together. We are all looking forward to their next visit already!

It was Morrison's Monday today. We took Yvonne, June and Pat for a cup of tea and a slice of cake in Morrisons café. We had a good giggle putting the world to right's between us. There were plenty of faces pre lunch drinks today and our residents all enjoyed the lunch cooked by our chef Gabor. This afternoon we got arty and crafty and got covered in paint and glue. The residents had an afternoon of making their own creations. It was well attended and they all did great

What a lovely start to our weekend we've had! Some residents went out this morning to Seabrook for coffee, Faversham for lunch, walks along the seafront and some had their families and friends visit at home. This afternoon not many were up for making food so we took some residents out for walks along the Leas instead, which they all loved. Some declined their photo being taken. We could see France and Dungeness it was so clear, it felt like we could almost reach out and touch the cliffs!

It was non stop at Brampton today. We started the day with a quiz morning in the lounge. The residents (as usual) sailed through the questions and they were disappointed when the quiz finished. After lunch the ice cream van stopped by and the residents were treated to a cone and flake. To top the afternoon off, Kerry came in for an art class before she flies off to Gran Canaria next week. We painted a picture of a meadow with acrylic paint. The residents did a wonderful job with Kerry’s instruction and tips. What do you think?

What a wonderful day we've had today! We started the day with Lisa here making the residents look fabulous as always :) We had lots of people join us for our Community Lunch this afternoon and everyone has said how lovely it was to see some new faces and make some new friends :) one guest brought their dog Hallie and she very quickly became the centre of attention, we all love a visit with an animal here! Then, most guests stayed after their lunch and joined to listen to Nick sing for us. We had a full lounge and everyone sang along throughout, we are looking forward to seeing everyone again and what next week brings :)

Rain again today. Again! It’s really annoying because it keeps us indoor and makes us unhappy. We only had a few come along to the communion service which was Roger’s last service with Brampton before he retires tomorrow. This afternoon we played Name that tune, which was a great excuse to have a sing along. It was a good afternoon and the residents knew many of the song titles and the artist.
