This Easter, we’d like to wish all our wonderful patients and community a joyful holiday filled with happiness, sunshine, and time with loved ones.

🐣Easter Opening Times – Folkestone Eye Centre 🐣

Please take note of our Easter opening hours over the bank holiday weekend:

✨ Good Friday: Closed
✨ Easter Saturday: 8:30am – 4:00pm
✨ Easter Sunday: 8:30am – 2:00pm
✨ Easter Monday: Closed

We’ll be back to normal hours on Tuesday 7th April from 8:30am.

If you need to see us over the weekend, please plan your visit accordingly.

Come along to the Iris outreach session with Kent Association for the Blind (KAB) and discover the support available for people living with sight loss. Whether you’re looking for advice, resources, or simply want to learn more about the services in your area, the team will be there to help.

KAB has been supporting sight-impaired people to live independent lives for over 100 years, and this is a great opportunity to connect with their friendly team.

We are aware of the recent outbreak of meningitis in Canterbury, Kent, and our thoughts are with those affected and their families.

We urge everyone to remain vigilant and to familiarise themselves with the signs and symptoms of meningitis, which can include:

✔️High temperature (fever)
✔️Severe headache
✔️Vomiting
✔️Sensitivity to light drowsiness
✔️Confusion
✔️Stiff neck

In some cases, a rash may also appear.

Symptoms can develop quickly, and it is important to seek urgent medical advice if you have any concerns.

We also encourage everyone to follow good hygiene practices to help reduce the spread of infection, including:

✅Washing hands regularly with hot water and soap
✅Using tissues when coughing or sneezing
✅Avoiding close contact with others when unwell.

We’ve got a sturdy filing cabinet outer shell available for scrap metal recovery. The drawers and internal components have been removed, leaving the solid metal casing ready for recycling or repurposing.
