We rediscovered this amazing, beautiful, deeply touching recipe book on our shelf this morning.

It's even more special given the current desperate situation in Ukraine right now.

It gives a little insight into the joyous life in stunning Ukraine that Putin has destroyed. I'm even more angry and saddened, how can this happen in the modern world.

We're going to eat from this book this weekend to celebrate the culture of these brave, strong people. I'm in tears as I read the introduction, this is just so wrong.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful story of life in Ukraine. Sending wishes of strength and love to you and your people, we are with you and will help however we can.

So today is International Women's Day - a time to celebrate female achievements and success; a day to give women an extra loud voice, a chance to inspire fantastic females of the future!

I was shocked to read last week that most children (and I expect most adults) can’t name a single female entrepreneur or business leader!

I don't know why I was surprised. My amazing daughter does Business BTEC amongst her GSCE's. One of her early pieces of work (from her Girls School) was to profile an entrepreneur; with recommendations given old the same old same old - Branson, Dyson etc. No women.

She chose to buck the trend, ignore the recommendation and profiled Zhou Qunfei, the Chinese entrepreneur who founded the major touchscreen maker Lens Technology at the age of 22. She came from such a humble background, left school at 16, went to Uni part time whilst working. Her story is just amazing.

On 18 March 2015, the 22nd anniversary of the founding of her first start-up, Lens Technology began trading on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange - so successfully that Zhou became China's richest woman.

This is the story that we should all know about, that kids should be learning about. This is what is possible.

My message to you today is to go for it. If you have a great idea then why not make it happen. Start small, give it a go. What have you got to lose!
