I have been scrolling through social media this morning trying to get my head around the terrible and mind-boggling things happening in the world right now.

But at the same time, I am remembering that yesterday my feed was flooded with hope with the Greens winning the by-election in Gorton and Denton. Watching Hannah the Plumber’s speech felt like such a relief after so long hearing so many messages of division and hate.

And at the same time, yesterday some of us had the privilege of gathering for a day to replenish and restore after a long Winter.

We celebrated three newly qualified Yoga Teachers embarking on their journey - two couldn’t be there this time and we missed them!

They share beautiful, heart led, classes, promoting ahimsa -non harm, along with compassion and connection 🕊️❤️

I am blessed that my Mum and Aunt came along to enjoy the day - two people who I turn to for wisdom and inspiration.

We all shared space together, with movement and conscious breath. We shared stories and food together. We walked in the mud and the woods 🌱

We set our intentions in this space, together.

As we called in Spring, and with it hope 💚

I don’t know where the time goes! The last time I ran a retreat here in the UK was back in 2024.

Just before I launched the Happy healthy Yoga Teacher Training programme.

So now the teacher training has come to an end, I am excited to be able to invite you back to Manor Barn in Canterbury for a whole day of Yoga, community and connection to restore and replenish your energy💫🌈

And I am thrilled to be able to introduce you to some of the Happy Healthy Yoga teachers who will be teaching alongside me on the day.

We have a wonderful schedule planned for you...

✨Connecting To Self - a session to set your intentions and wake up the body.

✨Even In Stillness, You Are Enough
A workshop focussing on developing stability and ease in the body, and moving with kindness. While recognising that it is not always easy to slow down.

🥗Lunch
We will then break for a delicious vegan. gluten free lunch, and a chance to explore the local woodland.

✨Root To Rise - Balancing The Body
Ground and root to the earth for stability and connection then rise with strength and presence.

✨Moving With Kindness & Ease - Balancing The Mind - Inspired by Yoga Philosophy to balance and calm the mind and body. This will be followed a guided Loving Kindness Meditation to promote compassion.

✨Tension Melts Away
A deeply relaxing Yin class, Breath-work and Yoga Nidra

You will leave relaxed and restored and ready for a great nights sleep😴

This day is for you if:
* You want yoga that meets you where you are
* You value slower, more mindful movement

Massive congratulations to these amazing humans 👏🏻🌟❤️🌈🙏🏻✨

Ive been really feeling the effect of the teacher training coming to an end this week ❤️‍🩹. Endings aren’t easy!!!

These Yoga Teachers have come so far and shown so much growth and skill.

I have been inspired by their ability to meet challenges and put themselves out of their comfort zone over the last 10 months.

And the results are 5 passionate teachers with so much to share. Each with their own unique style and voice. Each able to teach Yoga in an accessible, inclusive and trauma-informed way.

I couldn’t be prouder :)

Spending 10 months together, getting to know each other better, seeing the trainees’ confidence grow and the way that they supported each other is not something that is easy to let go of. It has felt really special 💫

And I am more passionate than ever about sharing Accessible, Inclusive and Trauma-Informed Yoga 🪷

So next Wednesday (11th Feb) I will be teaching a free session on Yoga Beyond The Poses.

Sharing just some of the concepts that can make Yoga more Accessible.

The session will be at my usual class time of 7.30pm and everyone is invited :)

Drop me a comment or a message if you’d like to join.

It would be great to see you ☺️

I will make sure this is recorded so don’t worry if you can’t make it live - I will send you the replay.

The reason that I teach ways to focus and be present is because I struggle with it so much myself 🤯

Even recording videos like this, I have to edit out the silences (thank goodness that is possible now) because otherwise half the time I am staring into space, getting sidetracked 🙃

Focusing isn’t natural for me.
Being present isn’t automatic.

And when I’m stressed, it becomes even harder.

And that’s exactly why yoga has been such a lifeline.

Because what Yoga has taught me is that when my mind is everywhere, my body helps to bring me back.

Yoga doesn’t ask me to concentrate harder, it gives me anchors:

⚓️the breath,
⚓️the body,
⚓️the senses,
⚓️the ground beneath me.

Presence doesn’t always mean calm.
It means connection with what is here and now.

And that’s a skill we can practice.

Save this if you struggle with focus and being present and need this reminder 🚀

If you have ever quietly wondered “am I good enough to teach yoga?” then I have something for you…

💫I’ve created a free reflection guide for anyone curious but unsure.

It’s not a checklist. It’s not about flexibility, confidence or having it all figured out.

It’s a gentle, body-based inquiry to help you listen more closely to what YOU need right now.

No pressure, just space to reflect.

Comment GUIDE below and I will send it over ❤️

I hope that you are enjoying your Festive break. I always love this time of year for looking forward and making plans 🎄💫🌈

Is 2026 the year that you take a leap and do something for YOU?

If yoga already plays an important role in your life but you’re feeling uncertain about what’s next, I have something for you - a FREE 1:1 vision planning session for 2026

Whether you’re:

💫 thinking about becoming a yoga teacher

💫 already teaching but feeling unclear, stuck, or stretched thin

💫 craving more balance, purpose, or sustainability in your work

💫 sensing a shift but struggling to put it into words

This free session offers space to pause, reflect, and find direction.

This session is especially supportive if…

You’re thinking about becoming a yoga teacher but don’t feel “ready” or confident yet

If you are already a yoga teacher but feel stuck, scattered, or unsure about direction, feeling burnt out or underpaid.

You don’t need clear answers before you come.
Clarity often emerges during the conversation.

I come to this work with a background in yoga, somatic practice, and trauma-informed coaching.

That means our session isn’t about pushing for answers or forcing decisions. We move slowly, listen to the body as well as the mind, and let clarity emerge in a way that feels safe and supportive.

Comment VISION below and I will send you more details 💌

Wishing you a year filled with purpose and passion 🎇❤️

Through our Yoga practice, movements and postures are used to build strength and stretch the body. The breath is a powerful tool to connect with the nervous system and develop our relaxation skills. Meditation helps us to cultivate awareness, of the body, mind, and breath. St Andrews Church Hall, Surrenden Rd, Cheriton, CT19 4DY. Thursday morning 10-11am Thursday evening 7-8pm and 8.30pm
