Have you been paying attention to the changing colours recently?

Spending more time painting landscapes reminds me to pay attention to the passing changes around us.
One special place to witness this is the New Forest… September holds the last moments of the beautiful Purple Heather. Have you seen it?
If not I highly recommend putting it on your list of things to see.
And then next time you walk really notice how each day brings a new subtle change in colour to our world.

First day of Autumn….. time to nestle back to ourselves 🍁

One of the consequences of deleting this app is I find I have more time in the evenings.
I put my daughter to bed and I paint. (Apart from when MaFS is on, then paintbrush becomes glass of wine).
Unlike scrolling, that seems to cause time to disappear into a void of nothing, I’ve found painting slows time down in my mind, and creates space.
No idea if it has any merit. No idea if it’s going anywhere.
But it feels good to investing time in connecting back to myself.

Is there any new hobby you’ve been wanting to try or something you have been wanting to learn (just for you)? What’s standing in your way?
I hugely encourage capitalising on autumns change of pace to reclaim some time for you!!

Anyone relate to getting to the end of the day and feeling completely zapped of all emotions & energy?

Well this Friday is a moment for you to fill up your cup.

Put the kids to bed and join our first online Mothers Compassion Circle. This supportive, non-judgmental space is for mums to listen, share, and learn how to cultivate kindness and compassion for themselves and the challenges of motherhood. Research shows compassion circles help people feel heard, valued, and experience reduced isolation.

There’s no pressure to contribute, just a safe place for mums to share experiences, listen, and support each other. With some selfcompassion guidance from me.

An opportunity to remind ourselves of the inner struggles people go through as well as the great support there is out there.
Working within the mental health arena for the last 15 years, I have had the opportunity to work with amazingly compassionate people who put their whole heart into battling the stigma of mental health and advocating for those who need it.
Over the next week, I will be spreading the awareness of some of the great services out there, on my stories (also tagged here). Please comment if you know of any and share with others to help spread …
