I enjoy this warm summer weather very much, particularly as I like to be active outdoors. It can be draining though, especially if you're stuck indoors for much of the time. Most people are looking for relaxation through massage, and I certainly guarantee that, but it can also help to overcome lethargy and stimulate vitality.

My massages are different to most, being longer, more detailed in addressing problems, and delivered in a uniquely calm environment. Two hours is usual, so there is time to release muscular tension and emotional blockages, re-energise and bring colour back to your world, and still have time to achieve total relaxation of body and mind.

I have 15 years of professional experience and have received many heart-warming comments and reviews, as you'll find here on my page or on my website or Google business page.

I'm a firm believer that the people who are most in need of therapy are those who can least afford it, and my charge of just £40 for a full body massage reflects that. You might feel that I undercharge, in which case I'll happily accept your words of appreciation, or an adjustment to the price if you feel it is justified.

I rarely deliver more than one massage a day, and can be available on weekdays and weekends, with evenings being ideal in this warm weather, but at whatever time suits your schedule.

The festive season is behind us, the decorations back in their box, and maybe you're feeling low, worn out and struggling to find a positive path. As well as loosening up those knotted muscles, a really good massage can bring some energy and colour to your life. What terrible weather this weekend! When the weather forecast puts you off doing the things that you enjoy outdoors, maybe it's an opportunity to take some time to treat yourself to some calm, relaxing therapy. Two hours of the most thorough and relaxing massage treatment, in a warm and comfortable space, for just £40. I'll ease muscular and emotional tension, release the stress of a busy life, and hopefully you'll leave calm and renergised. Because I don't try to fill my diary with massage therapy, and spend much of my time enjoying activities outdoors, I can often make time for clients at short notice, paticularly in wet weather!

During the winter I love to spend time in my woodland, as it is the time when many of the plants and creatures are dormant, and I can do the woodland management work that would disturb them at other times of the year. Rain makes that unpleasant of course, and working on very wet ground can be destructive so, if you feel in need, try me. I might be free. If you're interested in wildlife, I often post videos of what's on the move in my woodland on my personal page. Sometimes, watching them can be very therapeutic too :)

It is always interesting to meet new clients, and a privilege to have the opportunity to widen their experience of massage. Most people have only ever received 40 minutes or an hour of superficial massage, on a hard table in a clinical setting or an expensive spa. A massage can be so much more, but most commercial situations don't enable therapists the time or energy to provide it. Indeed, many therapists have no experience of anything outside that norm, which of course represents the extent of conventional training. A really good holistic massage can be so much more, in terms of the time, attention to detail, sensitivity in touch and empathy, depth of relaxation and healing effects on both body and mind.

As a relief from a wet spring and cold start to summer, I promise warmth and comfort in a quiet cabin.
As an antidote to electioneering, I promise genuine honesty, empathy and care in my treatment of you.
As a change from scams and commercial exploitation, I promise great value for money and no hidden or extra costs.
As respite from the frenetic pace of life with everything done in an instant, I promise 2 hours of my undivided attention and touch.
As a change from the commercial salons and spas, where your massage may feel rushed or superficial, I promise to address all areas of muscular and emotional tension or stress.
What I can’t promise is that it will be the best massage you’ve ever had, but if you read the reviews on my page, website and Google business page, you’ll see that many of my clients have found that to be the case for them.
It may look too cheap to be that good, but I’m in the privileged position of having a very good life, try to live gently on the planet and minimise my consumption of "stuff", and I don’t need massage income to live on. Above all, I do this because I get great pleasure from giving and helping those in need. I’m not competing with other local therapists for trade, as I rarely treat more than one person a day. My hands and energy are things that cost nothing to give, so I can give a lot to each person for a minimal fee.
Bring your issues and trust them to me, leave them in the cabin, and float away refreshed for a happy, healthy summer.
I'm very flexible, and can make time for you during the day, evenings or weekends.

A special kind of auditorium in the woods, with a special bunch of guys singing just for the birds. Well, and for us of course.

It's not a Christmas song, but has a simple message, perhaps intended of love, but equally of good friendship which, to my mind at least, is more relevant to many than the words on any greetings card. Perhaps listen and spare a thought for those you know who might be in pain or alone at such a difficult time of year. Perhaps even give them a call.

Time for a massage?
How much time does a good massage need? I don’t believe that an hour is enough for a thorough massage, so I usually provide 2 hours of treatment. This gives time for preliminary warming of the muscles, moving progressively over them to sense and release any tension or knots, and gradually blending these deeper techniques into more gentle strokes to relax to whole body and calm the senses. There may be some techniques that you haven’t experienced before, gained through many years of working with therapists from other cultures, and developed further during my 15 years of giving professional massage. Maybe you’ll make the comment, as many others have done, “I’ve never felt this relaxed before”. I hope so, because I believe that relaxing the whole body promotes self-healing; physically, mentally and emotionally.
I don’t need to rely on massage to make a living, so I rarely deliver more than one massage in a day. I can focus all of my energy on you and I’m confident that you’ll feel the difference between this and a typical massage elsewhere, with a therapist constrained by commercial needs. At just £40, the massage can feel like a gift, but my reward is in seeing and feeling the effects on my client if I’ve been successful in bringing about some positive change.

A different approach to massage.

The approach to my massage cabin is different in itself, in our rural, wildlife-friendly garden. Hopefully that is a calming start to the session.

The wooden cabin is a far cry from the clinical environment that many therapists work in, with a soft futon and furnishings, cushions, blankets, friends' paintings on the walls, plus the warmth and glow of a woodburning stove.

My personal approach is different too, as will be your experience. My sessions are longer than most, which gives more time for warming the muscles before trying to identify any tensions in them. I can spend time finding those knots, and treating them as gently as possible. I can take more time with general relaxation, and hopefully you'll experience a deeper sense of relaxation than can be achieved in a typical spa or busy high street salon.

I try very hard to make the experience special so I hope you'll find the price attractive, and the treatment great value for money.
