Did you know that May is bladder cancer awareness month?
There are a number of different bladder cancers and these are more likely to affect men and people over the age of 60. If you smoke or chew to***co or have certain health conditions your risk increases. Some occupations can increase your risk too. The main symptom blood in your urine. Did you know that May is Healthy Vision Month? It was established in 2003 by the National Eye institute with the aim to encourage making health lifestyle choices to to reduce the risk of developing conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure which can increase the risk of eye diseases. Visiting an optician can detect early signs of eye conditions as well as determining if you need glasses. If you have been advised to have eye tests because of an existing condition or a medication that you are taking, it is important to attend regularly.
You may be entitled to free eye tests or vouchers under certain conditions.
