A Dacia Duster was brought in with a misfire issue. During the diagnosis the issues were found to be an injector problem and was also an issue with the glow plugs.
A new injector was fitted and all 4 glow plugs were replaced and the car was as good as new. The customer then asked for the car to get its MOT carried out and the car passed the MOT and went back to the very happy customer who was back on the road!

A local garage handed in a brake bleeding tool to see if we could repair it. It was going to cost over £1000 to replace the tool.
Westfield repair services was able to find the fault, order and replace a small component and restore the tool to full working order for a fraction of the cost of a replacement tool.
The customer/garage was delighted both with the cost and the results.

A Mercedes C class was brought into the garage with a steering lock fault. Mercedes was quoting over £500 just for a part alone not including the labour costs.
Westfield Repair Services was able to repair the fault at a fraction of the cost quoted by Mercedes. Steering column stripped, repaired and put back together again. A repeat customer came back in requiring 2 rear shocks that had been an advisory at the MOT (I had mentioned it to him when I did his last service) and timing belt replacement. Timing belt kit and 2 rear shocks replaced as well as an antifreeze flush and refil. The customer was happy and mentioned that it was a lot quieter and smoother after completion.

This time a Ford focus came in. The customer complaint was that it wasn’t driving smoothly. The customer mentioned that this issue happened after a repair from another garage. What had happened was the injector calibration values had been reset but the car couldn’t complete the recalibration as there was a fault with the charging system meaning the battery light was on the dash even though the battery was getting charged, the car had a communication error where it couldn’t talk to the alternator (as it’s a intelligent charging system on this vehicle)
You can see a good health canbus signal at the alternator pin in the picture meaning the alternator itself looks to be the issue. There’s no fix this time as the customer is thinking about their options. If they decide to replace the alternator….we can do this here 🤗

Been a busy few weeks here at Westfield Repair Services……We had to visit a Toyota Proace that had an engine management light on it was quickly diagnosed to be a ADD Blue system fault. It turned out that the ADD Blue injector had the incorrect resistance of 3 ohms throwing up a P2049 code. Fitting a new injector (you can see the new injector resistance is higher at 12 ohms) provided a cure and another happy customer.

A Honda Civic was brought in as the engine temperature gauge wasn’t working. The fault was traced to the engine temperature sensor. Of course the sensor was in an awkward place but it was replaced and the coolant topped up and the gauge now working. Here at Westfield Repair Services we deal with the awkward! We had a combi oven brought in for a repair. It arrived “totally dead” and after some fault finding it was traced to a component in the power supply. The component was replaced and the oven was now fully working. Another happy customer….customer sent the photo of it re fitted and working.
