If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere.” – Vincent van Gogh

14 months ago, David Mitchell came to us with a beautiful idea: design and print his book, 30 years in the making. His hand-drawn fungi illustrations had been decades in development.

A Brush with Fungi went through 100+ revisions and test prints to get the colours just right. Rob, our studio manager, worked tirelessly, balancing daily work and running the digital press.

David was hands-on, checking every detail to match his original artwork. Rob and Andy helped guide the project from concept to binding.

440 pages. 1,500 copies. Each book weighs about 2 kg. Like fungi, it’s one of a kind, celebrating their vital role in life on Earth.

We’re proud of this project. Join David on Sat, 12 July 2025, at Kirriemuir Community Arts Centre, 12–3 pm, for the launch.

Our co-owner recently traded the desk for the great outdoors, and he’s loved every step of it (he hasn’t stopped talking about the views!).

First up, he had the privilege of running The Hairy Haggis Team Relay at the with an incredible team. The energy, the crowds, the atmosphere… unbeatable.

Recently, he went up, all the way up! Barry hiked and conquered Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the UK. Tough on the legs, great for the soul. The kind of views that remind you how small we are, and how big life can feel when you step out of your comfort zone.

Feeling grateful, energised, and a bit sore (in the best way).

Here’s to more adventures, on and off the mountain.
