Saying yes to everything? Was a post I read from an apparent millionaire who's life changed by saying yes.

That’s the kind of advice that’ll have you drowning in everyone else’s priorities while yours sit collecting dust. I ain’t got time to play saviour for the world, thanks. If something aligns with my path, then sure, I’m in. But handing out “yes” like it’s free sweets? That’s how you lose your time, your energy, and yourself. Hard pass.

Man, it's been so liberating just to tell everyone 'NO'. And I'm doing alright...

The glass flung across the kitchen missing me by mere inches. It was late. I was working the next day but I couldn't lay my head safely anywhere to rest. I was used to that. The house that was supposed to be a home was taken over by HIM.

I knew this was going to be another night where I would endure his wrath and absolute insanity. I was 18. He was a fully grown man.

You think of home as a sanctuary, a safe haven. For me it was hell, for a long time.

I saw the rage in his eyes. A man who didn't like to be challenged. This I knew from many encounters I had with him. He hated me standing up for myself, telling him to get out and he wasn't welcome. But this wasn't my house.

He was consumed with drugs and a cocktail of goodness knows what. Sometimes he could barely stand but he was a strong guy, three times bigger than I.

I don't think I got scared that day if I'm honest, fighting against someone who probably could have crushed me in an instant if he was sober.

I was disappointed more than anything with the men in the room that were supposed to protect me and didn't. Watching on and doing very little.

I think this is why I live in fight and flight, because a lot of my life was filled with worries and threats and absolute dicks being allowed in my world.

I'm safe now of course but I still look over my shoulder.

My friend brought me a gift tonight. And this is literally the best thing someone did for me .

My fav book but illustrated.

Time to curl up, storms raging out there and read, whisking myself to a world that I was made for.

Printing off all lessons for next weeks homeschooling and I find Willow sitting on them. Like seriously. Then....

Two seconds later he knocked them flying everywhere. 🤣🤣

Apple doughnuts! 🍎🍩

Ok it doesn't taste like an actual doughnut but as snacks go you can't beat this. It's more filling, super refreshing and keeps me going in between meals.

A doughnut doesn't do anything for me. Just makes me want more sugar and feel hungry after 10 minutes. And I usually get cranky too. Yes it tastes good but it's just empty calories.

This is definitely a better option.

My first born.

I will tell you what he taught me.

He taught me I'm not always perfect. Sometimes even I'm wrong. He taught me love is real. He taught me that magic still exists. He taught me that men were born good and stable. The environment and societal pressures can literally ruin someone

My son taught me patience. He taught me all the capitals of the world... (🤣😉Whether I wanted to or not) I'm sure my son and I with knowledge between us now we can win a gameshow. 🤣. He taught me intelligence is cool. I've always been a computer nerd but it's like he makes it cool.

He taught me... Just as much as I hoped I taught him good things.

That's why life is beautiful.

I'm a bit mushy at times (alot) but I won't change who I am for no one.

Find the goodness where you can.
