Welcome to Bodyworks Studio! Where fitness meets community in a friendly and supportive environment. It’s fun, effective, and great value!
Hi, I’m Katie – a busy mum of two, business owner, and long-time fitness lover living in beautiful Forres in the North East of Scotland. Fitness and health have always been a huge part of my life, and 12 years ago I turned that passion into a career. Since qualifying as an Advanced Level Personal Trainer with the European Institute of Fitness, I’ve helped hundreds of clients transform their lives – physically and mentally – across Glasgow, New Zealand, Australia, and now back home in Forres. I’m proud to introduce Bodyworks Studio – a brand new, fully equipped private training facility and Forres’s only small group personal training space. Small group PT offers all the benefits of one-to-one coaching with the motivation and energy of training in a supportive group of up to 6 like-minded people. Alongside small group PT, I also offer 1:1 Personal Training, Classes, and Sports & Remedial Massage Therapy – all tailored to help you build sustainable healthy habits that last a lifetime. When I’m not coaching, you’ll find me out adventuring with my partner, kids and dog – usually in the woods or by the sea (surfboard optional!). I love sneaking in workouts and sharing healthy, delicious food ideas too. I can’t wait to welcome you to Bodyworks Studio and help you become the healthiest, happiest version of yourself.

BodyWorks’ First Ever Christmas Party – What a Night!
Our very first gym Christmas celebration was everything we hoped it would be – and more.
1496 was the perfect venue, the food was absolutely delicious, and seeing everyone out of the gym setting was so special. Watching you all chatting, laughing, meeting people from other sessions, making new friends… it truly highlighted just how important this community is. ❤️
I honestly couldn’t believe how many of you showed up dressed in your finest sparkles ✨ and gave up your Saturday evening to celebrate with us. It means more than you know.
To every single person who came – thank you for making our first Christmas party so memorable. This wouldn’t be BodyWorks without you. 🫶
Already looking forward to the next one… 🎄🥂

💪🏽6 Weeks of Strongevity in Action💪🏽
Our very first 55+ Strength & Strongevity Program has officially wrapped… and the results have been nothing short of inspiring 🔥
We asked our members what surprised them most over the last six weeks — and here’s what they told us 👇
“Lifting more than I ever thought I’d be able to!”
“I didn’t think I was capable of lifting this much — and without hurting myself!”
“Amazing how much I’ve improved in such a short time.”
“Surprised how much I’ve challenged myself — and ENJOYED it!”
This wasn’t a ‘gentle intro’ program — far from it.
Today, every single person smashed out band-assisted pull-ups after hitting a 4RM on their back squats 🔥
Six weeks ago, none of them believed that was even close to possible, most had never stepped foot in a gym.
That’s Strongevity in real life:
🟡 Building strength
🟡 Moving well
🟡 Thriving as we age
🟡 Training for capability, confidence & long-term health
We couldn’t be prouder of this group 🙌
If you (or someone you know) is 55+ and wants to:
✅ Get stronger & more confident
✅ Move better & feel amazing
✅ Train in a supportive small-group setting
✅ Build long-term strength for life (Strongevity!)
Then now’s your chance 💥
Message us to secure your place — these spots won’t last.
Stronger today. Stronger for life.

7 weeks of BBQs, late nights, eating out and beach days… and now the holidays are over, I can really feel it 😅
It’s been amazing — honestly the best summer yet ☀️— but I’m definitely feeling sluggish, low on energy, and completely out of routine.
As much as I’ve loved the last 7 weeks, I’m looking forward to a bit of normality again and getting that “energiser bunny” energy back 🐰⚡️
Instead of trying to overhaul everything at once, here’s how I’m hitting reset:
1️⃣ Keep it simple – focus on small, achievable wins
2️⃣ Plan ahead – workouts, meals, stretching, even sleep
3️⃣ Rebalance nutrition – protein at every meal, more fibre, and an 80/20 balance of whole foods vs fun foods
4️⃣ Prioritise sleep – shifting bedtime back gradually for better recovery, hormone balance & fewer sugar cravings
5️⃣ Find accountability – it’s always easier (and more fun) with someone else. For me, that’s roping my husband into 9pm stretch sessions instead of Netflix 🙃
The goal? Not perfection — just progress, consistency, and feeling good again.
❓Which one of these do you need most right now? I’d love to know 👇🏼

🚨 PARENTS, WE SEE YOU. 🚨
The past 6 weeks (feels more like 100, right?) have looked a little like this:
🧃 Snack negotiations
📺 Endless screen time battles
🌀 Soft play chaos
🕒 Routines? What routines?
💻 Juggling work with wild little humans
🌛 Children who never go to bed
… and an alarming number of yoghurt pouches.
It’s been A LOT.
But now — it’s your turn. 🙌
Just look at Chloe and Gabby — child-free, smiling, and smashing their workout like they haven’t spent all summer in snack-based diplomacy 😅
👉 Our 4-WEEK TRIAL kicks off the week of August 18th, and it’s the perfect reset to:
✅ Reclaim your routine
✅ Prioritise YOURSELF again
✅ Kickstart the rest of 2025 💥
You’ve spent weeks holding everything together — now let us help you put yourself back on the list. You deserve it.
📩 Drop us a message to grab your spot or tag a friend who needs this too!
Let’s make the rest of 2025 count. 🔥

This is what aging well looks like.
Meet my Mum and Dad — Jane and Dave.
They’re both in their late 60s, and for the past 9 years, they’ve been training with me twice a week, every single week.
They’ve each got their own health challenges:
👉🏼 Mum has double scoliosis and osteoarthritis in both knees
👉🏼 Dad has a slipped disc that’s caused drop foot and weakness in one leg
But that hasn’t slowed them down — not even close.
Just last week, they took my two energetic kids away for a week-long caravanning trip… without me, while I was working.
They spent the week bike riding, go-karting, hiking, paddleboarding, and doing everything two adventurous grandkids could throw at them.
They didn’t sit out. They didn’t hold anyone back.
They kept up — and led the way.
Now let’s be honest: that kind of activity isn’t “normal” at their age — but it could be, if more people made strength training a priority.
Because the truth is, getting older doesn’t mean you have to become inactive.
But being inactive? That’s what really ages you.
Conditions like scoliosis, arthritis, and slipped discs can be debilitating — but regular strength training builds muscle, supports joints, and gives you the power and freedom to keep doing what you love.
Jane and Dave are living proof.
They are strong, capable, and still right in the thick of life — not sitting on the sidelines.
So if you’ve been thinking:
“I’m too old to start,”
“I’ve got too many issues,”
“It’s probably too late…”
You’re exactly who this is for.
💬 Let their story be the nudge you need. It’s never too late to get stronger, move better, and live more fully.

Personal Trainer, Nutritional Adviser, Habit Coach, Online Trainer, Remedial and Sports Masseur in Moray.
My name is Katie and I am a busy business owning mum of two and we live in an idyllic corner of the North East of Scotland in a wee town called Forres.
Being fit and healthy has always been hugely important to me which is why 12 years ago, I decided I wanted to make a career out of it in order to help others. I studied with the European Institute of Fitness gaining my Advanced Level Personal Training Qualification and haven't looked back since. I started my fitness career working in a small gym in Glasgow before packing my bags and moving to New Zealand. Over the years I have transformed hundreds of lives through fitness and healthy lifestyle changes in Glasgow, New Zealand, Australia and now Forres.
I was in Australia working as a Personal Trainer living the dream when I became pregnant with my daughter, it was then that I realised that I wanted my children to grown up surrounded by family and friends so we took the huge decision to move back to my hometown of Forres.
Whilst I was pregnant it seemed like the perfect time to add another string to my bow so became qualified in Swedish massage first and then a diploma in Sports and Remedial Massage whilst on maternity leave.
I now offer Personal Training, Online Coaching, Nutritional advice and Massage from my fully equipped private gym and purpose built massage studio in Forres. I focus on creating sustainable healthy habits with my clients both 1-1 and online leading to amazing physical and mental transformations. I see a huge variety of massage clients on a weekly basis ranging from sports and non sports injuries, chronic pain problems and athletes as well as people coming for maintenance work.
I am so fortunate to have found my dream job. Being active, healthy and fit is my passion, there are not many people that can say they get to do what they love day in day out. When I’m not at work you can find me out and about with my two young children and dog in tow, exploring the woods or playing in the park. I sneak in workouts whenever I can and love cooking so expect lots of inspiration and ideas from me.
I look forward to helping as many of you as I can reach your full potential and join me in leading your best lives.
