Dearest Mum to Rae, Jacqueline and Lesley, devoted granny to Carinne, Kian, Carys and Sasha. 💖We will once again be hosting an open chapel for Mother’s Day on Sunday the 15th of March between 10am and 12pm. 💖

🕯️ This is a time for you and your family to come into the chapel and reflect and think of the loved ones you miss. 🕯️

🎵 We will have music playing and will have some lovely fancy pieces, teas and coffees. 🧁 ☕️

Dorothy's family wish to sincerely thank all her many friends for the comfort and kindness extended to them during her final months and following her sad passing on 6th January 2026.
Thanks go to Meadowlark Care Home in Forres for her short and comfortable last few days.
Thanks also to Andrew Smith Family Funeral Directors who respectfully managed her funeral arrangements with great care and dignity.
Finaly, Rev. Stuart Finlayson and Les Mitchell for their comforting Services at both Baldarroch Crematorium in Banchory and the following day at The Mosset Tavern which celebrated her long life. Donations to Forres in Bloom benefitted so generously, having a life-long association with her family and gardening in the town especially in the Grant Park. The team at The Mosset Tavern were most helpful and afforded us a warm and pleasant atmosphere, which was totally in keeping with Dorothy's wishes of NO FUSS

The family of the late George Farquhar, of Priory Place, Elgin, wish to thank everyone who came to take part in the final goodbye to a legend of a man. We give special thanks to the staff of Ward 7, Dr Gray's Hospital, Elgin for their care and attention to him in his final days. Heartfelt thanks to Andrew Smith and staff for the funeral arrangements and support of all the family. Donations were made to North East Sensory Services, thanks to everyone's generosity, £401.00 was collected.

We mourn the loss of Barbara nee Burgon (Babs) on Thursday, February 5th 2026, in her 94th year, of Drumduan Road, Forres. (Retired School teacher in Orkney and Forres, Manager of Red Cross and Established Alzheimer's Scotland shop Forres). Dear wife of the late Alex, much loved mum to Kay, David and Lynn and a loving granny and great granny. Barbara's remains, as was her request, donated to Anatomy Research, A.R.I. Memorial service in St Laurence Church, Forres on Friday March 6th at 11.30am to which all friends are respectfully invited. No flowers please. We know lots of people will be preparing to lay their beautiful holly wreaths for loved ones about now - please note the date for removing these tributes is by 9 February 2026.

Holly wreath removal is necessary to protect the grass underneath and prepare for grass cutting.

Kenneth, Stephen and family of the late Pat Gray would like to thank all relatives, friends and neighbours for the kind expressions of sympathy cards received during their recent sad loss of Pat. Special thanks to nurses and staff of Cathay Care Home for all the excellent care and support during Mums stay. Thanks also to Rev Stuart Finlayson for his visits and most uplifting service, to Andrew Smith and staff for professional funeral arrangements and to all who paid their last respects at St. Leonards Church and graveside and to all who gave so generously to Cathay Residents Fund.
