Scottish confectionery giant Nesslé has officially unveiled a 5 foot tall Loch Ness Monster Easter Egg, described as a loch solid addition to this year’s Easter range, based on what experts are calling “a very confident guess” at the size of a real Nessie egg.

Standing at just over 5ft tall, the eggs have quickly taken over entire supermarket aisles across Scotland, with their size and demand forcing retailers to temporarily remove alcohol sections until after Easter, a move that has already caused quite the sh*tstorm among shoppers.

Each egg contains a “Baby Nessie” toy inside, although early buyers have questioned whether, given the scale of the egg, whatever’s inside should really still be classed as a “toy,” or more of an art piece… or a piece of furniture.

Nesslé have confirmed the egg is “100% chocolate,” but have issued guidance advising customers not to attempt to eat it all in one go, warning that doing so may result in a “monster bellyache.”

Due to its size, customers are being advised to bring friends to help carry it to the checkouts, along with a vehicle large enough to transport it home, with Nesslé confirming that any eggs dropped or cracked will not be refunded, placing full responsibility on customers.

The egg is expected to retail at £350, with Nesslé confirming the price reflects “its size, quality, and overall uniqueness,” although one shopper was heard saying, “I’m ain't giving you tree fiddy… for that, the ‘toy’ should be robotic at least!" Adding "where the fecks the whisky gone ya rockets?”
