Yoga the Hatha Way

Yoga the Hatha Way Yoga classes in Fowey with Sarah. Classes are welcoming and inclusive, for all ages and all bodies. Complete beginners especially welcome.

Private classes available for a little extra focus or to give you confidence to come along to a class. I'm happy to answer any questions you have - just drop me an email. Especially if those questions are along the lines of 'Aren't I too old/too stiff/the wrong shape for yoga?'. I have taught complete beginners and seen the difference it can make to their mobility and flexibility. I promise to adapt every class to suit my students, so that every body can benefit. Classes are either 1 hour or 1 hour 15 minutes. You don't need to bring much with you. Wear some comfy soft clothing - you don't need anything fancy. Bring some water, and maybe some warm socks and a shawl or blanket for relaxation if that's your thing.

We had a ‘twisty’ class this morning, opening our hearts and finding hope between the in and the out.
And this was our meditation. Let’s shatter the darkness, one flicker at a time 🧡

And another secret to unlocking a wonderful life is, of course, yoga 🧡

Time to get back to our mats!

Ladies class on Fridays at 11.00-12.15, and for a few weeks the chaps class will also be on Fridays at 12.30-13.30. Both at the British Legion in Fowey.

They are small, friendly classes and perfect for beginners or those with some experience. No fancy gear required and lots of props to help if needed.

If you’d like a chat before coming along, drop me a message.

It's nearly time to get back to our mats!

Classes start next month:
Men's class (for over 50s) on Monday 9th 14.30
Ladies on Friday 13th 11.00
Both upstairs at the British Legion in Fowey.

Wondering if it's for you? All classes are accessible (although there are stairs to get to the yoga room - think of them as a warm up :-) )
You'll improve your mental and physical health, find some quiet space in your day, and explore ways to gain strength, flexibility and balance - good for body and soul.

If you've never done yoga before, you'll probably have questions. Drop me a message and I'll answer them. Or come along and try for yourself, you'll be very welcome.

Love and light
Sarah

🧡CLAXON🧡
Apologies but there is no ladies yoga class today, or men’s class on Monday.
Back as normal next Friday 🧡

A bank holiday, a festival, and just ‘life’ have got in the way of yoga over the last couple of weeks or so - but we are *back* from Monday!
Chaps, join me for some stretch, strength, balance and breathing on Monday, 14.30 at the Legion in Fowey.
Ladies, the Friday class is technically full but there is often a space so drop me a message if you’re interested.

*there is another one looming too, so no class on the 27th.

It’s been a joy to share ‘spring’ classes these last few days (despite the only brief appearance of the sun 🙄). Lots of opportunities to think about transitioning from the dark to the light, set intentions that we’d like to see grow and having a good old clear out of things we no longer need in our lives 🧡

I’m taking a little break over Easter, so the next ladies class is 11.00 on 5th April, and the chaps class 14.30 on 8th (both upstairs at the British Legion in Fowey).

A bit of disruption to classes in March I’m afraid - pesky work (and a trip up to Glasgow!):
No ladies class on Friday 1st
No men’s class or Squires Field class on Monday 4th
No Squires Field class on Monday 11th.

I’ll check in with you all on Easter plans.

Huge apologies. Give yourselves a little bend and stretch while I’m gone 🧘🏻‍♀️🤩🧡

Huge apologies, no men’s class at the Legion today - back to our mats next week chaps!

It's mat time!

I've never really been a 'new year, new you' kind of person. There's nothing wrong with us to fix.

Sure, there are a few things we might like to do more or less of, but fundamentally we are wonderful, capable and loving humans - it's just that sometimes we forget that.

Yoga isn't about making you better, it's about reflecting back to us that we are amazing to begin with. A side benefit might be moving more easily and breathing more deeply. A bit more focused and relaxed maybe. You will leave a class remembering that you can do so much more than you give yourself credit for.

Classes are back - let's get on our mats!
Men: Monday 8th, 2.30pm.
Ladies: Friday 12th, 11am.
Both upstairs at the Fowey British Legion.

If it's your first time and you have questions, please do drop me a message. Every body can do yoga.

Well, that’s a wrap! A festive class today as a gift to my wonderful students (plus a mince pie!). Final relaxation to this gorgeous piece https://open.spotify.com/track/7xCJ4D6ka7bXhGbL4NsEEi?si=P_tDCSoDQuS-eFi8uYksqw - an absolute favourite of mine at this time of year.

Wishing you all some peace and joy over the festive period. Remember to breathe. If it’s not the best time of year for you, step outside, take smiles from strangers and know that it really is just a day.

And I’ll see you on your mat in 2024 🧡
