Burn out is one of the most common issues I see in my clients. They’re all incredible people, usually women, who have given everything to their families and jobs, and have nothing left in the tank. They feel exhausted, unmotivated and fed up. They’ve slipped to the bottom of the priority list and been left feeling pretty empty. When I ask them what they like to do for themselves, they often can’t even remember what their thing is.
But we all need time to do what we love. We all need to have our own interests, to follow our passions, to meet people who like what we like. So ask yourself, what do I do for myself? What lights me up?
Whether you’re a runner or a reader, a baker or a maker, whether you love football or fashion - make time for it, without guilt. It’s part of self-care your needs matter.
