As TRC I do talks to local groups on Reiki and it evolving from being a Folk Art to there now being National Occupational Standards for the giving, and teaching of Reiki. This progression has enabled some Reiki Practitioners to offer Reiki in both hospices and hospitals. Lovely day at Manor Hall, Coalpit Heath, BS36 2TG, last week. Well done to the local Time 4 Carers management to organize sessions for carers. I met some lovely people, giving them Reiki and Indian Head Massage sessions. It's great when organization like Time 4 Carers give something to the actual carers..........

Reiki is a miraculous energy and to be able to offer Reiki for family and friends is special. However when offering Reiki outside of your circle it is advisable to stop and think of the implications of giving Reiki to someone you don't know. This 1-day workshop - being held at Manor Hal, BS36 2TG, l on 19th August - is designed to cover any gaps there may be in traditional Reiki training and is mindful of the National Occupational Standards for Reiki. This workshop is also good for CPD and can act as a refresher for any member already holding the Reiki Council Verified Practitioner accreditation.
