A post about vital, early intervention

Another vital diagnosis this week for my client.
A persistent change on her face which could easily of gone ignored.
This can be treated now to avoid any further dangers.

Actinic keratosis (AK) is a precancerous skin lesion caused by damage from ultraviolet (UV)
radiation from the sun or tanning beds. It typically appears as a scaly or crusty patch on the skin
that is dry, rough, or raised. AKs are most commonly found on the face, ears, scalp, hands, and arms, but they can occur anywhere on the body. If left untreated, AKs have the potential to
develop into squamous cell skin cancer. This is rare but a reason why most dermatologists
recommend treating AKs.
Regular skin exams, sun protection, and early treatment can help prevent the
progression of AKs to cancer.
