The Met Office has issued further yellow weather warnings for rain across much of Aberdeenshire from 9am tomorrow (Tues) right through till midnight on Wednesday.

SEPA has also issued a flood alert for Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen.

Coming on top of recent rainfall and already saturated ground, this persistent and at times heavy rain is likely to lead to some disruption and possible flooding impacts in places.

A further 20-30 mm may fall quite widely, with potential for another 40-60 mm building up over high ground.

As freezing levels lower from the north, snow is likely to fall above 300-400 metres, especially across Aberdeenshire, Angus and Perthshire, where 5-10 cm of snow may accumulate by the end of Wednesday.

We would again remind motorists do not ignore or remove road closure signs or barriers. Emergency road closures are put into place to protect you and keep all road users safe.

What to expect:
⚠️Some roads and railways likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services
⚠️Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer
⚠️Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer
⚠️Some interruption to power supplies and other services likely
⚠️Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely
