We are also a member of SAIF (National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors). Our office and rest rooms are located in Fraserburgh. We also have another office, Buchan Funerals, in Mintlaw. Both of which cover the whole of the North East of Scotland and offer a full 24 hour service. Our aim is to treat every funeral with our fullest care and attention and to be there for you in time of bereavement. All of our staff understand how difficult a time this can be and we are dedicated to providing you with quality support and guidance. Our services include:

Acknowledgement - The family of the late Mary (Maimie) Morrice would like to sincerely thank all family, friends and neighbours for the many kind expressions of sympathy they received, by way of cards, flowers and messages following the sad loss of their mam, granny, great-granny and great-great granny. Grateful thanks to all the staff at Crimond Nursing Home for the care and kindness given to Mary. Special thanks to all at Buchan Funeral Directors, Mintlaw, with special thanks to Owen for being a huge support to the family and for his caring and professional handling of the arrangements; to Ali MacLeod for her lovely service; to Graeme Skene for the organ music; to Saplinbrae Hotel for the excellent teas and finally to everyone who came to pay their respects and for the generous donations of £385.11 for Dial-A-Bus. “Remembered with love, always”.

Acknowledgement - Sandra and family wish to express their sincere thanks to all family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues for all the support and kindness shown to them during the sad passing of Sandy. Special thanks to his close friends and family for the visits and kindness shown during his illness. Grateful thanks and appreciation to all the staff of Roxburghe House for the care, kindness and respect shown to Sandy and all of us as a family. Heartfelt thanks to Janet Dick for her beautiful, personal touching tribute to Sandy; to Graeme Buchan for putting together such wonderful photographic memories; to Alexander Buchan & Son Funeral Directors for the care and sympathy shown, with very special thanks to Owen for all his guidance, support and personal attention to detail; to Rona at the Legion, New Deer for organising the refreshments and finally to everyone who travelled from near and far to pay their last respects to Sandy, the number who attended the service was truly overwhelming and the support shown was very much appreciated, heartfelt thanks especially for organising such a special and fitting gun salute at the graveside. Acknowledgement - Penny, Bob, Steven and the extended family of Scott, wish to express their sincere thanks to everyone for all the kind and thoughtful messages and acts of sympathy they received on the recent unexpected, tragic loss of Scott, we were overwhelmed by the amount of messages, cards and flowers received. Our sincere and grateful thanks to the efforts of all the emergency services who attended. It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing, at his home on Friday May 15, 2026, of Norman, aged 86 years. Much loved husband of Jeanette, loving dad of Alan & Anne-Marie, a very proud grandpa, a dear father-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and good friend. Funeral service from Alexander Buchan & Son Funeral Chapel, Denmark Street, Fraserburgh on Friday May 22, at 1.30pm, thereafter to Kirkton Cemetery, to which all family and friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only please but donations may be given in lieu, if so desired, at the chapel door in aid of a chosen charity. Norman will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
