It’s been over a month now since I released my song “Things That I Can’t Change” and I’ve been blown away by the support, feedback and shares that it has received. Hey folks! My first post in forever 😀 myself and friends have came together to record a rock version of a ”Do They Know It’s Christmas?”. It’s currently on all streaming websites and we have also started up a go fund me in order to raise funds for local charity Y Suffer In Silence, which helps those with mental health problems, a cause we all fee very strongly about. Happy January Folks! I hope everyone had a great New Year and is now settled back into work and a routine!

I thought i'd kick off the start of the year with something different. This is a song that i recorded a while ago that i never intended to do anything with until my best friend persuaded me otherwise. I've decided whilst saving money for my mini album and trying to find a studio that i would redo some old songs and make a cheeky wee EP out of them!

So the song! It's a tough one to describe, but here goes my best shot. Booze/Drink/Drams/Hooch/Grandas Ol Cough Medicine etc etc. I enjoy it (as many do) and it's fueled many a great night out with friends and family. But as a good friend of mine pointed out recently, it's also a depressant that can have some pretty negative effects too.

Lately a few close friends have pointed out that when i'm drinking i can be on top of the world and then the bottom of the barrel out of nowhere. I can be life and soul of the party and then sitting in the corner looking miserable. Little things that shouldn't matter suddenly seem to be a big deal and i end up just making a drunken arse of myself over superficial things. This song is about being in that state of mind when everyone around you is having the time of their lives.

As it's into the new year (belated New Year, New Me alert!!!) i've decided to release this song as a way of letting go of that attitude and moving on to be happy. Happy as a hippo.

December-Neck Deep Cover

Happy festives folks!! Can say that i'm truly over the moon that my Christmas video got over 150 likes, 10k views and over 20 shares. That's the most i've ever had for anything i've done, so a massive thank you for the support, i can't stress how much i appreciate it 🙂 This is going to be my last song of the year, it's a lesser known song compared to some of the covers i've had up recently but it feels appropriate. It's one of my favourite songs ever (If you've got me on snapchat you'll probably know this, especially when i'm drunk). I tried pushing to get someone to do the backing harmonies but due to the time of the year etc i had to settle on doing them myself later! It's been a wild year with lots of ups and downs. It hasn't been the best but it certainly hasn't been the worst! I'm looking forward to getting into the new year and getting onto more work for EP number 2 🙂 It has a title track, an intro and a slower track written and recorded for it so far. I still have a lot of ideas kicking around that i'm going to be getting to work on. I'll have to start thinking of which studio i'm going to go to and i've also got plans for a music video. Again, a massive thanks for all the support recently and i would like to wish everyone and their friends and family, a happy new year 🙂 All the best for when it comes!!

So tonight i felt all festive and decided to do a cover of one of the good ol' classics! Loved this song since i was a kid (it was on the Christmas hits CD my mum used to play every year when she started decorating the house). Couldn't resist getting my Christmas jumper on and my trusty Santa hat (It's survived many a drunken night out). I'd like to wish everybody a Merry Christmas and i hope your holiday is filled with cheer and good memories :) As always, thank you to everyone who keeps checking out my music. Not a band that i'd usually cover but it was ace for a change. Some parts need work but i'm getting there with my looper! At the weekend I bough a Boss RC30 Looping Pedal 🙂 last night I got my first proper shot of it! Still getting to grips with it but it’s ace fun! Was ace having a wee jam with it. I look forward to incorporate into future gigs 😀

1 year ago today I released the first song and title track of my EP for people to hear! The response was overwhelming and the support I've had to push on with my music has been amazing! At present I have 3 demos recorded for EP 2 and am hoping to finish a 4th one soon. After that it'll be time to look for a studio to go to and get recording. Can't wait for you all to hear what I've been working on!

Throwback Thursday to one of the first songs I recorded when I got all my gear!! Strange hearing it again after around 4 years. I might rerecord it someday :D also..... thinking of uploading a new original song next week at some point. Now I'm off to enjoy a long weekend off :D have a good one folks!!
