🚐🌾 A Scenic Adventure Through the Countryside! 🐖🌿

Our residents at St Modans Care Home enjoyed a wonderful outing through the beautiful Bonnykelly countryside, starting off in New Pitsligo and winding through New Byth, Gamrie, and beyond!

We had the pleasure of visiting Wesley’s farm, where we chatted with Wayne and Tommy about the barley crop, baling, and exciting news — piglets arriving next week!

The journey continued through Cuminestown, New Deer, Strichen, and Memsie, with lots of lovely chats about farming seasons, machinery, animals, and the stunning countryside views 🥰

🌞🧁 Garden Gatherings & Quiz Fun! 🧠🌿

We had a lovely afternoon at St Modans Care Home, enjoying some refreshing drinks and sweet treats out in the garden

The sunshine made the perfect backdrop for a friendly afternoon quiz, with plenty of smiles, laughter, and a bit of healthy competition too!

🎶🦕🎻 Welcome Back, Playbarn Nursery! 🌟💖

We were absolutely delighted to welcome the children from Playbarn Nursery back to St Modans Care Home after the summer holidays!

Our morning was filled with fun and laughter as residents and children played together with dinosaurs, horses, and even had a go at musical instruments!

We ended the visit with some peaceful time in the sensory room, which the children absolutely loved 💫 Residents couldn’t stop smiling — with lovely comments about how well-behaved the children were. James summed it up perfectly: “They were just fantastic!”

We’re already looking forward to the next visit! 💖

Our Knitting Club at St Modans Care Home was full of energy and creativity — and Sylvia wowed us all with her impressive speed and skill!

Keeping hands and minds busy, Sylvia led the way as residents enjoyed a relaxing afternoon of knitting, chatting, and sharing smiles 💖

What a fantastic day we had at St Modans Care Home, coming together to celebrate our incredible Grade 6 from the care inspection! 🏆💙

We enjoyed a sunny garden party filled with delicious food prepared by our talented chef Paul 🍔🍰, live music from the brilliant Andy Coutts 🎶, and a few well-deserved glasses of prosecco 🥂

He’s back at the pass! 👨🍳 St Modans Head Chef, Paul O’Brien, has once again made it to the finals of Meallmore Ltd Meals Means More 2025, representing St Modans Care Home with creativity, precision, and a serious love for great food.

He’ll be competing in Glasgow alongside:

Dan McGonigle, Kincaid House Care Home
Robert Scott, Hilton Court Care Home
Dawn Thom, Crimond House Care Home

Paul’s return to the finals shows just how valued and consistent his culinary skill is across the home – and we’ll be cheering him on all the way to the trophy.
