Parkside Private Patients welcomes, Mr Shehzaad Khan, Shez is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Knee Surgeon with a specialised focus on sports and reconstructive knee surgery. He is double fellowship trained in all aspects of trauma and knee surgery. His particular interests are ligament reconstruction, sports injuries, cartilage and meniscal repair and reconstruction, knee preservation and patellofemoral instability. Additionally, he contributes to the field as a Ringside Medical Officer for the British Boxing Board of Control Limited.
Shez has completed fellowships at the Fortius Clinic, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust under the mentorship of world renowned surgeons Mr. Andy Williams, Mr. Simon Ball, Mr. Tim Spalding and Mr. Pete Thompson. During this time he was actively involved in the care of professional athletes and gained experience treating elite football and rugby athletes with some of the top English Premier League and Premiership rugby clubs. In addition, he has extensive training in procedures such as knee osteotomy, meniscal allograft transplantation, cartilage repair and regeneration, patellar realignment and stabilisation surgery, including trochleoplasty .
Before these fellowship roles, Shez began his comprehensive surgical training across renowned institutions and busy major trauma centres. He completed his higher surgical training at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (Stanmore) and the Oswestry/Stoke training programs.
Shez is an extremely keen sportsman and has played many different sports. He is a former semi-professional athlete, representing Lacrosse at an International level, and Hockey at County level. He continues to play sport at a slower pace, focusing on reducing his handicap.

, Frimley, Heatherwood & Wexham welcomes, Miss Alexandra Cope

Miss Alex Cope was appointed as a consultant in 2016 at Frimley Health after training in London, Oxford, Leeds and Newcastle. She is a fellowship trained colorectal surgeon with a special interest in rectal and colonic cancer. She is an open, laparoscopic and robotically trained surgeon using the da Vinci XI system and can offer robotic hernia repair. She has a masters in education, a PhD and a postgraduate diploma in coloproctology.

Miss Cope is an honorary senior lecturer at the University of Southampton and is the training program director for higher surgical trainees (registrars) in general surgery for Oxford School of Surgery.
She is principal investigator on a number of research studies being run at Frimley Health.

Miss Cope is a full member of the Association of Coloproctologists of Great Britain and Ireland. She provides diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy and proctoscopy. She is JAG accredited in colonoscopy and an accredited colonoscopy trainer.

Parkside Private Patients would like to welcome, Deborah Green, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon.

Deborah is a UK-trained Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with over a decade of experience as an NHS consultant. A local to the area, Deborah was born at The Canadian Red Cross Hospital in Taplow and spent her early childhood in Maidenhead before moving north to Oxfordshire, where she completed her education in Oxford.
Her specialist training in plastic surgery took place in London, including prestigious centres such as St Thomas’, St Georges’, and the Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead — famously associated with Archibald McIndoe, a pioneer in the field. Deborah further honed her expertise through fellowships at the Melanoma Institute in Sydney and St Thomas’ Hospital, London.
With a strong academic background, Deborah dedicated two years to research towards an MD in Melanoma Immunotherapy at St Georges’ University of London. During this period, she contributed as a sub-investigator in numerous international melanoma trials and presented her research both nationally and internationally.
Currently, Deborah is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, where she serves as the Skin Cancer Lead and Deputy Cancer Lead for the Trust. Her specialist interests lie in skin cancer resection and reconstructive surgery, though she has extensive experience across all areas of plastic surgery. Known for her patient-centred approach, Deborah is admired for her excellent communication skills and approachable manner, earning respect from colleagues and patients alike.

Mr Al-Hourani’s practice covers a full spectrum of knee conditions, from sports injuries such as ACL and meniscus tears, to kneecap disorders, cartilage repair, knee preservation and realignment procedures, as well as partial and total knee replacement. Frimley Health has two maternity amenity rooms, these are available to NHS patients who wish to have extra privacy after the birth of their Baby at Frimley Park Hospital and Wexham Park Hospital. Rooms can be booked on a first come first serviced basis with full payment being made at the time of booking. Payment is for room only, all other care and facilities remain within the NHS and does not constitute private midwifery or medical treatment/care. EDIT UPDATE: Heatherwood Hospital was not included in the recent CQC inspections at Frimley Park and Wexham Park because the inspection scope focused on acute care sites and services, notably medical care and urgent & emergency services at the larger hospitals. Heatherwood is primarily an elective care site.
