Your feet weren’t designed to live inside cushioned shoes 24/7.
When appropriate, training barefoot can improve strength, stability, and movement quality from the ground up.
Here’s why 👇
🦴 Your feet are incredibly complex
Each foot contains:
• 26 bones
• 33 joints
• Over 100 muscles, tendons & ligaments
That’s nearly 25% of all the bones in your body packed into your feet alone.
💪 Barefoot training wakes up the intrinsic foot muscles
These small stabilising muscles inside the foot help:
✔ Improve balance
✔ Support your arches
✔ Increase foot strength
✔ Enhance proprioception (your body’s awareness of movement and position)
👟 Shoes can reduce sensory feedback
Highly cushioned shoes may limit how much information your feet send to your brain.
Training barefoot can help you reconnect with the floor and improve stability during movements like:
• Squats
• Deadlifts
• Lunges
• Mobility work

When walking earlier I spotted a Heron —still, watchful, completely in its element. There’s something about the way it moves so deliberately, like it knows exactly when to act and when to wait. It felt like more than coincidence under this Scorpio full moon.

Scorpio energy isn’t soft—it’s deep, transformative, and a little confronting. It asks us to shed what we’ve outgrown, to face what’s hidden beneath the surface, and to trust that release makes space for something real. The heron felt like a reminder of that quiet power: patience, precision, and emotional depth.

Not everything needs to be rushed. Not everything needs to be explained. Some things just need to be felt, then let go.

Happy Monday morning and Happy Medal Monday!

This weekend, there was no racing for myself 😳 but I was out supporting family and clients at Brighton Marathon! Well done to you all.
competed at a very windy Mallory Park Duathlon where he had an awesome ride. Fingers crossed for you.
