The lovely Nicky, one of the Community Agents with the Essex Wellbeing Service will be joining us at our Connaught Avenue Pop-up Shop on Thursday (30th October) from 10am

This wonderful team offer a free-to-access home visiting service, helping people to live independently in their own homes, they can help with:

👉🏽Blue Badge applications
👉🏽Carer support
👉🏽Assessing and arranging installation of grab rails, bed rails, steps, toilet aids etc.
👉🏽Local clubs and activities
👉🏽Advising on community and hospital transport links

If you or a loved one need help in any of these areas, drop in and see Nicky tomorrow, she'll be happy to help. 🙏

If you fancy a sing or a dance or both, head along to our Singing for the Brain session this Thursday (30th October) at Frinton Community Association at Soken House from 1.45pm to 3.30pm. 🥳🎤🪇🕺

We've got a travel theme planned for our tunes, we'll be hitting the road with Jack to walk 500 miles. We'll see the banks of bonny, bonny Scotland, the fair city of Dublin, on the way we'll meet a long haired lover from Liverpool, take a trip on a bicycle made for two, and leave our hearts in San Francisco. 💖

If you are an unpaid carer, looking after a loved one, help shape future care services in Essex by taking part in this Essex County Council review.

Do you help look after someone at home? Maybe a family member, friend, or neighbour who needs extra support?

We’re asking young people who help care for someone to share their thoughts in a short consultation. It’s part of a review of our current strategy, and we want to make sure we’re focusing on the right things and improving support for the future.

Your voice matters, even if you don’t think of yourself as a “carer,” your experiences can help shape change.

The doors of the our Home Instead Clacton, Frinton & Walton Pop-Up Shop on Connaught Avenue in Frinton will be open on Monday (27th October) at 10am 🕙

Our team will be on hand throughout the week from 10am to 4pm to answer all your home care questions, including:

Don’t forget: The clocks go back tonight at 2:00AM! 🕑

☕ Time for a well-deserved break! 🍰

We treated some of our amazing care professionals to coffee, cake and a catch up today at the lovely, local independent café Grandma Lilly's Tea Rooms. 💛

Caring for others is at the heart of what we do - but it’s just as important to take care of ourselves too, after all you can't pour from an empty cup, so time out with colleagues is super important. This lovely bunch have provided a combined 18 years of amazing care and support to our Home Instead clients. 🫶

A huge thank you to Grandma Lilly's Tea Rooms for the warm welcome and delicious treats! 🌸

Choosing the best care for a loved one is a big decision, and understanding the costs is an important part of that.

At Home Instead Clacton, Frinton and Walton, we believe in making this process as clear and straightforward as possible.

We are hosting a Pop-Up Shop on Connaught Avenue next week (27th-31st Oct).

The Home Instead Clacton, Frinton and Walton team will be on hand to help with all things home care related.

You might be thinking about care for yourself and you're not sure where to start. 🤔

You might be worried about a loved one, and unsure how to start the care conversation! 🗣

Or you might be someone thinking about a career in care and want to find out what's on offer, or what it's like to work in home care 🫵

Come and drop in - we're here to help. On the Thursday we will also have a Community Agent from the Essex Wellbeing Service joining us.

And all week we will be kicking off our 'Be a Santa' Christmas gift giving campaign. 🎅 Collecting donated gifts to distribute to older people in the area who may be apart from family and friends on Christmas day. So if you want to help us reach out to home alone seniors, drop in with a monetary donation or gift - you will make the world of difference. 🙏🫶
