We understand just how important it is to support not only those receiving care, but the incredible people providing it every day. 🙏

🌟 Carers Navigation Service 🌟

🌟 P:ictured on the right is the lovely Gina from our Carers Navigation Service.
Gina supports people who are unpaid carers with their mental wellbeing, whether it is advice on support groups and signposting agencies or referring them for benefits checks to her Wellbeing Walks.

🌟 Being a carer for someone is a role filled with compassion and dedication but sometimes it can be as frustrating and overwhelming as it is rewarding. Gina's Wellbeing Walks give people the opportunity to get outside into the Spring Sunshine, talk to people who understand and feel supported.

🌟 Gina says "I met this lady today who is a Carer for her husband. Due to being unable to leave her husband for more than a few hours she has been unable to keep doing many of her usual activities and hobbies.
That is where I come in! I am able to meet her at a time that suits her and her paid Carer and give her a break from caring and a space to talk about how she is feeling in a safe calming environment and to have the chance to relax and feel validated as a Carer and the importance of caring for herself."

🌟 Carer feedback " I never get the chance to care for myself, I have lost many friends as I cannot do what I used to do, these walks give me the chance to refresh, talk through my worries and feel rejuvenated "

Yesterday we hosted a wonderful afternoon filled with birthday celebrations, laughter and community 💛

Our special birthday-themed Vintage Afternoon Tea, brought together 20 seniors, celebrating their birthdays—ensuring no one feels forgotten on their special day. Our franchise owner, Jean and her dad, Mike are both celebrating milestone birthdays this year, so wanted to reach out to share in the fun.

Held at Clacton-on-Sea Bowling Club, and supported by Kinder Essex Tendring our guests enjoyed delicious sandwiches along with homemade cakes created by our staff and volunteers. There was great conversation, and a joyful singalong of Happy Birthday 🎂

The event is part of our ongoing commitment to reducing loneliness and helping older adults feel valued, connected, and truly seen.

With more celebrations planned throughout the year, including birthday visits and special events, we’re proud to continue supporting our community to age well—with dignity, choice, and companionship.

Music, memories, and meaningful care 💙

In this special moment, one of our incredible Care Pros, Suzanne is working alongside our lovely client, Brian, using song exercises to support his speech. After experiencing challenges with slurred speech due to a health condition, finding engaging and uplifting ways to practice communication can make all the difference.

That’s where Suzanne’s creativity and dedication truly shine ✨ She thoughtfully designed a personalised book of familiar songs, giving them something joyful to work through together. Not only does it support speech and wellbeing, but it also brings smiles, confidence, and connection.

This is what care is all about — going the extra mile, thinking outside the box, and putting our clients’ happiness and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do.

We’re so proud of our team and the compassion they bring every single day 💙

We're looking forward to seeing you tomorrow (Thursday 19th March) at Frinton Community Association at Soken House at 1.30pm for our Community Singalong. 🎤

We'll be warming up our vocal chords with some Spring tunes - we might 'Skip to my Lou' before we hop on a 'Bicycle made for two' to find our 'Pretty Woman - walking down the street." She's bound to 'Build me up Buttercup' and be the 'Sunshine in my Life', in which case a visit to 'An English Country Garden' is on the cards. 😆

Our dementia friendly sessions are open to all and we positively encourage dancing. This week we'll also have the wonderful Mary Clifford, Senior Dementia Information Co-ordinator for Age Well East dropping in, to offer advice and guidance on how to live well with dementia. 🧠
