Our Care Professionals have been busy helping their clients get ready for Christmas from helping decorate the tree and getting the home s**c and span to shopping trips, hairdresser appointments and accompanying them along to enjoy our Christmas singalong. 🥰

We've worked with Community Voluntary Services Tendring and the Mad About Theatre Company to help those we know who don't want to be on their own this Christmas, enjoy the 'Spirit of Christmas Giving Meal' tomorrow, joining some 100 guests for a Christmas dinner and festivities. Thank you Indi and the team for giving up their Christmas Day to make this happen. 🙏

Some of our own wonderful Care Professionals will be sacrificing time with their loved ones to support our lovely clients on Christmas Day - thank you for being there. 😇

🙏Where kindness turns into friendship 😊

Finely first met Katharine, one of our dear clients, whilst working as a lifeguard at Walton Swimming Pool, where he helped her into the pool each week so she could enjoy her swim. What started as a simple act of support soon grew into a lovely friendship.

Fin is now training to become an Army Officer, and whilst home on leave over Christmas, he took the time to pop in yesterday to catch up with Katharine. Moments like this remind us that kindness leaves a lasting impact far beyond the moment it’s given.

We absolutely love seeing connections like these – proof that genuine care, friendship, and compassion can be built anywhere and truly make a difference 💫

We had a wonderful time coming together to celebrate an
incredible year and the amazing people who make it all possible.

A huge thank you to our Care Pros for the compassion, dedication, and teamwork you show every single day – we are so proud of everything you’ve achieved this year and loved celebrating with you all 💙

Also thanks to our volunteers for giving up their free time to help make our community events possible, reaching out to seniors to reduce loneliness, and bring joy through our Afternoon Teas and Community Singalongs. 🫶

🌊☕ Community moments that matter ☕🌊

Our wonderful client Katharine swapped her usual weekly swim at the pool for something a little different today — a relaxing visit to Harbour Lights Seafood Restaurant at Titchmarsh Marina, where the staff couldn't have been nicer. Joined by her Care Pro Hayley, Katharine enjoyed a lovely coffee, great conversation, and the stunning views across the marina. Loving the Christmas hat too! 🎅

🎄✨ It was festive fun all the way at our Christmas Singalong and Afternoon Tea at Frinton Community Association at Soken House last week. 🥳🎅

We were delighted to welcome more than 50 guests to our Home Instead Clacton, Frinton & Walton Christmas get together, working closely with Kinder Essex Tendring what a festive celebration it turned out to be!

The room was filled with joy as we sang and danced together, shared plenty of laughter, and enjoyed the chance to catch up with old friends and make new ones. 💚

A huge thank you to Precision Optics Eyewear for helping our guests get their glasses shined and straightened on the day – such a thoughtful touch! 👓

We also loved connecting with the local library thanks to Tony from Essex Library Service, who helped guests discover all the wonderful resources available to them. 📚

Our raffle added even more excitement, with some fantastic prizes up for grabs – thank you so much to Youngs Fisheries of Frinton., Bird & Bean, Adnams Frinton On Sea, Parkers Garden Company, Kirby Laundrette, Monique and Lillies Bakery who all donated prizes. We raised £50 to go back into the Afternoon Tea fund and lots of guests went away with early Christmas gifts. 🙏💖🎁

Great to see guests from Luff House - Pilgrims' Friend Society and help Herbert celebrate his birthday. It really was a beautiful afternoon of connectivity, friendship and festive fun, and we’re so grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make it so special. We couldn't run these events without our wonderful volunteers and Alex and the team at Frinton Community Association at Soken House 💫 🎶☕💚

Thank you to Amy at Asda (Clacton-on-Sea) for donating lots of mince pies to our Christmas Sing-along at Frinton Community Association at Soken House tomorrow afternoon. 🙏

Our Community Engagement team, Jo and Alex, and our wonderful volunteers are looking forward to bringing together home alone seniors and those living with dementia, cared for and carers, for some rousing festive fun with Christmas songs, a raffle, and a quiz whilst enjoying a delicious afternoon tea. 🫶
