At the weekend, the residents enjoyed a fantastic day baking together as a team, creating a delicious sponge traybake topped with sweet icing and decorations. Everyone got involved from start to finish — measuring ingredients, mixing the cake batter, spreading the icing, and adding the finishing touches.

It was wonderful to see residents working together, helping one another, sharing laughs, and enjoying the social side of baking. The activity brought back happy memories for many and created plenty of smiles around the table.

Once the traybake was finished, everyone sat down together to enjoy a well-earned slice with a cup of tea, and it was delicious! A lovely afternoon filled with fun, teamwork, and lots of delicious cake. 🍰😊

Last Friday, we had a wonderful VE Day tea party at the home! 🇬🇧✨

A fantastic afternoon filled with music, dancing, singing, laughter, and plenty of delicious cakes and treats. A huge thank you to the talented Singer Songbird Amanda for coming in and entertaining everyone so beautifully — our residents absolutely loved it! 🎶💃

Chef Rachel did an incredible job preparing such lovely refreshments, and we are so grateful to all our amazing staff for their hard work in making the day so special for everyone.

It was truly a celebration to remember ❤️

We had a visit from the ZooLab yesterday... and they brought along some truly terrifying creepy crawlies! 🕷️🐍🪲

Our residents were far braver than me — some even held the little beasties! 😱👏 It was amazing to see everyone getting involved, facing their fears, and having a good laugh along the way.

A fantastic experience and so much fun was had by all! 😊

After our morning exercise, we made our way outside, wandered along the paths, and really made the most of the beautiful views.

You may have noticed a few seeds quietly sprouting on windowsills around the home lately… 🌱

After a bit of trial and error, we’re delighted to say we now have a thriving gardening programme up and running! We’re currently growing parsnips, potatoes, and dahlias — with plenty more to come.

A huge thank you to Edie’s lovely family for all their help and advice along the way 💚

If all goes well, we’re hoping to have some plants ready to sell at our summer fair — watch this space!

Everyone had such a fantastic time – there were smiles all around and plenty of laughter. It was a brilliant experience, and it meant so much to see everyone so engaged and enjoying themselves.🥰

Happy Birthday, Barbie 🌸

It was lovely celebrating Barbie's special day yesterday. Her beautiful smile, chic scarves and headbands always brighten the room.

Barbie enjoyed the flowers from her lovely husband, and staff and residents joined in to sing Happy Birthday 🎂
