From 4th Jan 2021 the Government's advice is

As we move back into Lock-down, it is important that we all do our civic duty in keeping each other safe. Here at Beckington Physiotherapy Practice we are therefore following the Public Health England and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy guidelines. We are continuing to successfully work alongside our patients during this difficult period using Virtual meetings and telephone calls as well as face to face appointments where absolutely necessary. Our service includes assessment, diagnosis, advice and a personally tailored exercise package / rehabilitation. We are able to see patients for manual therapy, where this has been agreed over the telephone during the first appointment following a discussion regarding the "benefits v risks" of "virtual v face to face" appointment with consent gained. With growing numbers of Covid positive cases in the community at present, we are recommending patients book virtual appointments unless absolutely necessary.

A few of our patients have been asking how they can still access physiotherapy during social isolation for their aches and pains. We have therefore decided to offer telephone consultations which will allow people to have an assessment, diagnosis, advice and exercise prescription, helping them to therefore manage their condition well, while avoiding doctors surgeries and hospital waiting rooms.
