Our digital support team will be available at various times again this week, to help any of our patients needing assistance with digital health issues, such as downloading and using the NHS App, setting up a linked profile on the App (proxy access), using our online forms, ordering repeat prescriptions online and so on.

Sessions are for patients registered with us, with the exception of the Cheese and Grain session on a Thursday, which is open to anyone in Frome who needs support with IT issues (not just health related.)

Here's where to find the team this week

Tuesday 21st October - 10am to midday at the practice
Tuesday 21st October - 1pm to 3pm at Sainsbury's
Thursday 23rd October - 10am to 11:30am at the cafe in the Cheese and Grain
Thursday 23rd October - 4pm to 8pm at the practice

No appointments needed but please bring your mobile phone or tablet if you are coming to see us.

Have you received a message from 'Engage Consult'?

Several patients have been in touch to say they've receive a message via their NHS App and / or an email from Engage Consult.

The message states that their account has been inactive and will be automatically deleted if not used within a specified period.

This message is genuine, but it does not relate to the NHS App. Instead, it relates to the former online consultation system we used at the practice a few years ago. As the practice has not used this system for several years, Engage Consult is now deleting dormant accounts and notifying patients who previously used the service.

Patients can be reassured that this will not affect their access to care or to the NHS App. No action is required, and if you've received the email it can be safely deleted.

The Civic Imaginary Partnerships Project is seeking a creative practitioner to collaborate with them in Frome between December 2025 and July 2026, on a commission worth Β£11,000.

Civic Imaginary Partnerships is a nationwide research programme led by researchers at the University of Glasgow and co-designed with communities in Frome, Chester, Southampton, Hull, and Glasgow. Civic imaginaries are the ways people think, feel, sense, and dream about the futures of their places. This collaboration will creatively reflect the research experiences, data, and findings from Frome, producing a creative work that provokes conversation, reflection, and action.

Full details are available here, including a link to the expression of interest form:

The deadline for submissions is midnight on Sunday 2 November 2025.

Edventure’s Future Shed and Green & Healthy Frome are among the reasons this research project is taking place in Frome, and we’re excited to see how this connection with other places will inspire some green dreaming.

Come and join us at a conference with a difference!

As Greenhealthyfrome enters its final year of National Lottery funding, we’re marking the journey with an immersive, dynamic conference on Monday 3rd November 2025 in Frome.

We are inviting healthcare professionals, policymakers and community changemakers from across the UK to exchange ideas and insights from our three-year project about improving both health and climate. Through real-world learning, inspiring stories, interactive tours and practical workshops - you’ll gain tools and confidence to replicate, adapt or scale up in your own community.

Our work over the last three years has been rooted in community and system change, with initiatives that encourage:

🌳 Green social prescribing and wellbeing through healthy habits and nature connection.
🚲 Active travel and healthier ways of moving around.
🏠 Energy efficiency in homes and community spaces.
🍽 Supporting local food and fair access to it.
πŸ‘— Reuse, repair, and reducing waste.

The conference will bring these themes to life with inspiring talks, hands-on workshops, tours and a shared meal at Canteen, our pay-what-you-can community restaurant and a vibrant model of food justice in action.

Find out more and book here (and please share with colleagues who you think might also be interested in attending):
