Earlier this week we hosted a sustainable healthcare conference on optimising prescribing. We are enormously grateful to everyone who came along and contributed to the day, speakers and attendees, who shared their insights and learning with colleagues from across primary care and other interested organisations.

Great conversations, great food, great energy, and plenty of inspiration to build on. Thank you all!

And well done to our entire Frome Medical Practice team for your dedication and commitment to our work on sustainability. General practice has the potential to make significant improvements to the environmental impact of healthcare in the UK in many areas, and we are proud to be at the forefront of this work.

Thank you for only ordering what you need when requesting a repeat prescription.

Stay well - use your medicine as prescribed so it is most effective.
Stay safe - stockpiling medicine can be dangerous to children and pets.
Stay green - recycle your unused medicine and packaging at your local pharmacy.

The easiest way to order a repeat prescription is through the NHS App. Alternatively, you can order using our online form. Search 'medications' on our website for more information on ways to order and help if you need it (or click the link below).

With your help, in just one year we reduced prescribing by over 22,000 items and prevented 122 tonnes of CO₂ emissions, equivalent to driving over 535,000 miles, saving an incredible £280,000!

An enormous thank you to Frome Park Bowls Club, who hosted a Digital Health drop in session on a sunny Friday a couple of weeks ago. The session was followed by a friendly game of bowls. Let's just say, we were more successful at offering digital health advice than we were at bowling!

A special thanks goes to Gloria, Les, John and Cliff for their patience with us all! We are very grateful for their hospitality, support and much needed coaching!

Find out more about the digital health support we offer to our patients on our website (search digital health from our home page) and do pop along to one of our sessions if you need any help. And you can find out more about Frome Park Bowls Club, which is based in Victoria Park, on their website (search Frome Park Bowls Club).
