Healing doesn’t follow a straight path, and it rarely happens all at once. Some days you’ll feel like you've finally made it through — you're standing tall, breathing deeper, and finding peace in places that once brought pain. Then out of nowhere, a memory, a word, or a quiet moment can pull you right back into the ache you thought you left behind. That doesn’t mean you're weak. It doesn’t mean you've failed. It means you’re human — still growing, still unraveling the pain layer by layer.

There is no shame in breaking down again. Healing isn’t about never hurting — it’s about learning how to carry your pain without letting it carry you. Those low days don’t erase your progress; they’re just part of the process. Each time you fall and choose to rise again, you’re becoming stronger, softer, and more whole than you were before. Give yourself grace. You’re doing better than you think.

The secret of a full life is to live and relate to others as if they might not be there tomorrow, as if you might not be there tomorrow. It eliminates the vice of procrastination, the sin of postponement, failed communications, failed communions. This thought has made me more and more attentive to all encounters. meetings, introductions, which might contain the seed of depth that might be carelessly overlooked. This feeling has become a rarity, and rarer every day now that we have reached a hastier and more superficial rhythm, now that we believe we are in touch with a greater amount of people, more people, more countries. This is the illusion which might cheat us of being in touch deeply with the one breathing next to us. The dangerous time when mechanical voices, radios, telephones, take the place of human intimacies, and the concept of being in touch with millions brings a greater and greater poverty in intimacy and human vision. ~Anaïs Nin

We step in
No longer remaining on the bridge
Between the past and our future
Of uncertainties
That undoubtedly break us

We step on
We relinquish control
The most discomforting surrender
That shakes us
To the parts of us we’ve never known

We step on
For what, for who?
For all the love we’ve ever known
For what courses anciently in our blood and bones
Crying for all that will ultimately be lost

In the loss is the becoming
