A trip into Bath to see The Jane Austen Centre , taking it slowly, fully immersing ourselves in the experience, and stopping where something caught the eye. The stories behind it all led to conversations from how people lived to the places she wrote about.

One of the wall hangings kept people looking a little longer, with all the detail in the stitching giving something to point out and talk through together.

It was such a lovely day! 📚💕

We are spending more and more time outside in our garden now that spring is officially upon us and the sun is out! 💐🌞

Yay! The sun came out. Chairs were lined up by the Market Cross to listen to the Rock Choir , with cups of tea warming hands in the sunshine. 🌼🌞

Back at home, we had tea with heart-shaped shortbread, lightly dusted with sugar, for Mother's Day. Whilst Pam wanted to enjoy the day out at the coffee shop.

Later in the garden, Pam was laughing and enjoying athe garden, while Alan made his way along the path with his walker.

A trip into town meant choosing something from the sweet shelves before heading back for a cup of tea and a slice of chocolate tart. Back at the home, someone had settled into a good book and later on, the pool table was in use and the familiar sound of balls rolling brought a fun sense of competition! 🍬

Life is often busy with looking after a baby, making sure they've had their porridge before settling into the pram for a walk. Later on we might stop at the bar for a drink, sitting with a warm mug while the lights glowed above the counter. 🌼

Just valuing each moment which fills the day.

A few familiar characters popped up around our home today for ! 📚 Little Red Riding Hood made an appearance, Mary Poppins arrived ready for the day, and the team joined in with outfits from stories and places around the world.

It definitely brought a few smiles, and a few conversations about our favourite books from years gone by. World Book Day (UK & Ireland)

Thank you to – also known as The Pom-pom Lady, for coming in to host another brilliant seated pom-pom class at Catherine House Care Home. 🥰

Pom-pom sessions are a fun and gentle way to keep moving, helping with coordination and circulation while bringing lots of smiles.

They are especially valuable for people living with a Dementia, as the rhythm and colour encourage engagement, and make exercise feel light and enjoyable.

Picture this, you’re sitting enjoying a hotdog at the mini market… when a donkey suddenly decides it looks like a good idea too. For a moment it looked like lunch might disappear completely. 🐴🤣

Our Mini Market brought stalls, food, animals and plenty of moments like this!

Just one of those days where something simple turns into a story everyone ends up talking about.
