What an alpaca adventure here at Rossetti House! 🦙✨

Wendy brought Guinness and Casper the alpacas all the way from Shaftesbury for a truly unforgettable afternoon. It’s not every day we welcome such special visitors, and they certainly brought excitement, laughter, and plenty of smiles to everyone.

Guinness and Casper even toured the whole building, bravely using the lift to visit residents in their rooms—making sure nobody missed out on the fun! Their gentle nature and friendly personalities created such a warm and uplifting atmosphere.

Animal visits like these can bring so many wonderful benefits—boosting mood, reducing stress, encouraging conversation, and creating meaningful moments of joy and connection for our residents. Today was full of happiness, cuddles, and memories we’ll be talking about for a long time!

Summer vibes in full swing at Rossetti House 🌿☀️

Mellow jazz drifting through the garden, sunlight spilling across the lawns, and that easy kind of laughter that only warm afternoons seem to bring. Sunhats tilted just right, smiles a little slower, conversations a little softer.

We had a truly beautiful start to the week as violinist Sue Lord visited us and filled the home with the most gentle, uplifting music 🎻

The morning had such a calm and comforting feel, with residents relaxing and enjoying the moment, alongside some more lively and fun jigs that brought a lovely energy into the home. It was wonderful to see such a mix of peaceful reflection and light-hearted enjoyment.

There’s something so special about live music — it brings a sense of comfort, stirs memories, and creates meaningful shared moments for everyone.

🍽️ What a fantastic lunch today at Rossetti House!

A huge shoutout to our incredible kitchen team who once again went above and beyond for our monthly International Cuisine Day — and this month they took us all the way to Sweden! 🇸🇪

It was wonderful to see the residents and their guests gathered together, sharing dishes, swapping opinions on the food, and enjoying each other's company. Moments like these are what make Rossetti House such a special place to live — great food has a way of bringing people together, and today was the perfect example of that.

From the first bite to the last, the smiles around the table said it all. Residents and guests alike went back for seconds, and the kitchen team were absolutely beaming to see how much everyone loved it.
We do this every month and it never fails to create the most wonderful atmosphere. Stay tuned to find out where in the world we're heading next month! 🌍

What an absolute hoot we had yesterday! 🤠🌵

The brilliant Calamity Janes paid us a visit at Rossetti House and had everyone singing their hearts out! Country and western classics, big smiles and not a single word forgotten — residents knew every single one and were absolutely in their element!

There is nothing quite like a good old sing-along to lift the spirits and fill a room with joy 🎶 and the Calamity Janes delivered every bit of that and more.

This week one of the residents headed off to Wild Memories and came back absolutely glowing! 😊

He loves it — and honestly, who can blame him! After what feels like the longest, wettest winter, getting outside into the fresh air is just the best feeling. They were making wild garlic pesto from scratch 🌱 and by all accounts it was wonderful — the smells, the fresh air, the company... pure contentment.

It's so lovely to see the joy it brings him and we're so grateful to Zac and the team at Wild Memories for creating such a special place. If you or someone you know would enjoy getting out into nature, it's well worth looking them up

✨ A very special wish came true this week! ✨

One of the residents had a dream of going to see the KPOP Superstars at the Cheese and Grain in Frome—and we were so happy to help make it happen! 🎶💜

She had an absolutely fantastic time, soaking up the music, the atmosphere, and every moment of the experience. It was wonderful to see her smiling, enjoying herself, and creating such a special memory.

Moments like these mean so much, and we’re proud to support residents in living life to the full 💫

From all of us at Rossetti House — what an absolutely magical few weeks it has been! The smiles, the laughter, the music… Rossetti House has been buzzing with Easter joy and we couldn't be happier 🎉

🌟 Highlights from our Easter celebrations:

🐑 We had a visit from some very fluffy, very adorable lambs — and the smiles said it all!
⛪ A beautiful Easter church service that brought reflection, peace and togetherness
🎀 Fantastic Easter bonnet making — the creativity on show was simply brilliant!
🎶 Music, entertainment and so much laughter from the wonderful visitors and entertainers who filled Rossetti House with joy

👏 To our incredible visitors & entertainers — a huge, heartfelt thank you to everyone who came through our doors during this special season. You brought the outside world in and made every single moment sparkle ✨ The residents absolutely loved every visit — you are truly wonderful!

🐑💛 Fluffy, cuddly lambs made a special Easter visit to Rossetti House!

Our visitors brought lots of smiles, gentle bottle feeding, and endless “ahhhh” moments. Nothing says spring quite like soft little lambs and happy hearts! 🌸✨

Thank you so much to Stacey and adorable little Isla for bringing them to see us...I hope they were quieter on the way home!😀

The Easter weekend is almost here! 🌷

As we reach the end of the week, there's a lovely feeling of anticipation here at Rossetti House — Easter weekend is just around the corner! 🐣

Today is Maundy Thursday, the start of Holy Week for many Christians, a time that carries a beautiful message of hope, kindness and new beginnings. And whether Easter is a spiritual occasion or simply a time to gather with loved ones and enjoy a chocolate egg or two, it's a weekend that brings warmth to so many. 🌸

We're busy getting ready for some special treats and activities over the next few days — we can't wait to share them with you! Wishing everyone a peaceful and happy Easter. 💛
