A truly special day at Rowden House as Bill and Ann celebrated an incredible 70 years of marriage with a beautiful vow renewal ceremony 💕✨

Surrounded by family, residents, and staff, the couple marked this remarkable milestone with a heartfelt service filled with love, reflection, and joy. Miriam and Chris from Trinity Church kindly officiated, leading a personal and meaningful ceremony that honoured Bill and Ann’s lifelong commitment to one another. 👰 🤵

It was a touching occasion for everyone, and a wonderful reminder of the power of love, partnership, and shared memories over a lifetime. 💍

Congratulations to Bill and Ann on 70 amazing years together – an inspiration to us all 💖

Easter weekend at Rowden House was full of fun and activity 🐣 🐰 💐
Our residents enjoyed a range of celebrations, including an Easter egg hunt and egg decorating, where everyone had the chance to get creative. A highlight of the weekend was resident Geoff dressing up as the Easter Bunny and helping to deliver Easter eggs, which brought plenty of smiles. It was a lovely way for residents to come together and celebrate.

We take real pride in bringing creativity to life here at Rowden House 🎨

Our beautiful display boards - lovingly created by one of our fantastic activity organisers alongside our amazing residents - are always bursting with colour, personality, and teamwork. Recently, we’ve been busy creating even more artwork to brighten them up, and we’re already excitedly planning a special Easter display 🐣🌸

Alongside the creativity, there was also time for a little fun and imagination as residents worked together to build LEGO boats 🚤 - because play and creativity go hand in hand.

Our residents have enjoyed a wonderfully creative weekend 🎨🌸

From arts and crafts to beautiful flower arranging, the home has been filled with colour, creativity, and a real sense of pride in their work. It’s been lovely to see everyone spending meaningful time together in such a relaxed and positive atmosphere 💛

We’ve carried that creative spirit into the new week too, starting off with a little music-making to keep the energy flowing 🎶

Red Nose Day was one to remember! 🎈🎉

Yesterday, our team ditched their usual uniforms and went all out in the silliest outfits they could find, to bring smiles to our residents' faces; from red lips and noses to playful costumes, there were plenty of light hearted moments throughout the day. ❤️

We love creating moments like these to keep spirits lifted and make each day a little brighter. 🌞

We had a truly wonderful time celebrating Mothering Sunday here 💐

Our mothers enjoyed a relaxing pampering session, complete with hand massages and nail care, creating a calm and special atmosphere for the day.

Thursday brought even more joy as we welcomed Jane the singer, along with a lovely visit from Emma Sheppard. There was plenty of singing along and a fantastic energy throughout the session 🎶

We then rounded off the evening with a cosy film night, kindly organised by one of our residents’ daughters, Tamsin, featuring a classic starring Cary Grant 🎬

A really enjoyable few days for everyone involved 💖

This Mother’s Day, we celebrate everyone who has loved, cared for, guided or nurtured us - in whatever form that takes 🌷💐

🐾 Thursdays just got even more tail-wagglingly exciting at Rowden! 🐾

The wonderful Niki from Dogs for Health visits us each week with her adorable whippet, Ronnie, and our residents absolutely love it. From gentle pats to the occasional sneaky treat, Ronnie never fails to bring smiles to everyone he meets. 🐾

And now the excitement has doubled… Niki has started bringing along her sausage dog puppy too! With two furry friends making the rounds, Thursdays have quickly become a firm favourite for our residents – filled with cuddles, laughter, and plenty of puppy love. 🐶💛

Animal visits like these bring so much joy to the home, and we’re already looking forward to welcoming Niki and her lovely dogs back again this Thursday! 😍
