When your mind is racing or your body feels restless, try left-nostril breathing. This is a Kundalini technique that helps calm the nervous system.

How to do it:
1️⃣ Sit comfortably.
2️⃣ Gently close your right nostril with your thumb.
3️⃣ Breathe in and out through your left nostril only.
4️⃣ Continue for 1-3 minutes.

This activates your parasympathetic nervous system, the part of you that knows how to rest, digest and heal.

If you fell from a ladder, were in a car accident, or went through any kind of physical shock, you’d expect your body to feel sore, and your emotions might feel tender or shaken too.

So why do we so often forget this when it comes to emotional trauma?

Your body and mind are not separate - they speak to each other every moment. Grief, loss, anxiety or long-held stress can settle into the body just as much as any physical impact.

Your cells, your nerves, your muscles can hold the echoes of what you’ve been through, sometimes for years. This can show up as chronic pain, tension, or fatigue that no amount of massage or medicine seems to fully shift.

Through Kundalini Yoga, meditation and sound healing, we begin to work at the level of your energy, gently uncovering and releasing what has been held, layer by layer.

You don’t have to force it. You don’t have to “fix” yourself.

You just have to give your body and mind permission to soften, and the healing will find its own way through.

A clearer mind, one breath at a time.

If grief or trauma has left you feeling foggy, scattered, or numb, you’re not alone.

Many people feel this way when they’re carrying emotional pain, but Kundalini Yoga could help you gently find your way back to clarity.

Several studies have shown that a 12 week programme of Kundalini Yoga can show measurable improvements in memory and brain connectivity in older adults, with MRI scans showing better connections in the parts of the brain that store and process memories. (Yang et al., 2016)

More recent research (Kilpatrick et al., 2023) showed that this practice may help slow cognitive decline, strengthen the part of the brain deeply linked to memory and emotions, and support emotional balance too.

Sat Nam is a simple Kundalini mantra that brings you back to your essence - your truth, your light, your deepest self.
