Pure Moves is a friendly multi discipline movement and holistic therapies centre serving Somerset and Wiltshire with dedicated studios in the middle of the lovely town of Frome. We have classes taught by the area’s leading practitioners for all levels. The teachers are fully qualified and the rooms are comfortable and warm. We have a wide range of therapies practiced by caring and leading professionals. As well as our regular classes there are specialist weekend workshops throughout the year. Main studio is a large bright open room (60sqm) where group classes can take place. Treatment rooms that cater to therapists and meditation. The centre is set in a quiet location with its own peaceful garden. We aim to provide the community with an encouraging and supportive environment for body, mind, health. Some beautiful moments from Liz and Bea’s Pilates and yoga retreat in a small Berber village 30 mins from Marrakesh. They are feeling very grateful for all of you who joined them and made this such a magical ✨ retreat . They also want to send heart felt gratitude to all of the staff at Tigmi for their care, attention to detail and professionalism, truly the best team of staff anyone could ever wish for.

Bea and Liz have been running retreats here together for 10 years . The week starts with a morning class with everyone together and finishes with a class together. All the other mornings and afternoons the groups are split and you choose from, a gentle Pilates or a flow Pilates and a gentle yoga or a flow yoga . Whatever your level, from a novice to more experienced there is a class just right for you 💙 Bea and Liz weave themes throughout the week to inspire the body, mind and soul . In both the yoga and Pilates the classes begin with reflection or meditation and end with a relaxation and frequently a spectacular sunset on the rooftop terrace . yoga-retreat.co.uk

We are still looking for a caring cleaner for our beautiful studios and rooms.

3 hrs a week split over 2 days. There is flexibility with times for eg. week days before 9am, Friday afternoons or a weekend session to fit around our class schedule.

Pay £17 per hour

We want to thank all of our clients for their continued support and enthusiasm for our classes here at Pure Moves.

Some of you have been coming to classes at Pure Moves since we opened our doors 15 years ago and some of you have been practising Pilates even longer in Frome with Liz and Clare - for over 20 years now!!

We are so thankful (the teaching crew; Tessa, Trish, Debbie, Jane, Andy, Eva, Clare and Liz) to all of you, our recent joiners and our long time movers and shakers 🙂

Wishing you all, a joyful festive season and a healthy and prosperous new year.

The studio is now closed until Wednesday 3rd January when most of our regular weekly classes resume.

Our Story

Pure Moves is a friendly Pilates and wellness centre serving Somerset and Wiltshire with dedicated studios in the middle of the lovely town of Frome.

What style of Pilates can you expect at Pure Moves? There are many forms and variations of Joseph Pilates contrology exercises, but most teaching will fall into either ‘classical’ or ‘contemporary’ groups. The ‘classical’ method closely follows the original Joseph Pilates regime with exercises being performed in a particular order in every class.

At Pure Moves we offer a contemporary approach. This is an adaptive style which allows for greater flexibility in it’s teaching, to suit client’s individual needs and 21st century lifestyles. Contemporary teaching takes the bio-mechanical principles of Pilates and applies them to all physical movement. This is why this method works particularly well for sports people and rehabilitation.

Our Pilates teachers have all been professionally trained to the highest standards from teaching establishments such as Body Control Pilates and the Pilates Foundation. Pure Moves teachers have backgrounds in both ‘classical’ and ‘contemporary’ training and their expert knowledge of Joseph Pilates exercises will help you get the very best from every class that you attend.
