Back pain. Something 90% of clients will mention as their main concern or as an ongoing ‘niggle’.
-
More often than not this is caused by tightening of the iliacus/psoas (hip flexors), or QL muscle. This can be caused by prolonged periods of sitting, lack of stretching, or lack of correct muscle activation to name a few reasons.

When I treat individuals with back pain, you will find I ask a LOT of questions. This is to gather as much information about your day to day life and activity levels as possible.
-
You will also find that I will treat areas which are not where you are directly feeling the pain. This will be based off my own assessment through movement/mobility tests and what you have told me, seeking the root cause of the problem rather than relieving pain symptoms temporarily.
-
Ever been for a massage and had only your back treated and found your pain has subsided for a couple of days however then returns? That is because they have not treated the cause of the problem, which is exactly what I strive to do 😇
-
Information which you may see as irrelevant could be key to your treatment so try to tell me as much as possible during your initial assessment!
