In honour of Mother’s Day, Women’s International Day, and Eostre (goddess of Spring), a Sense of Nature is returning to Nourish for one month only - 7th March to 7th April 2026.

Trialled last summer, these private selfcare sessions for two people received amazing feedback and it has been wonderful to receive requests for their return.

Discover - what is happening within your body at a cellular level when your evolutionary stress response is activated, how diet influences levels of circulating stress hormones, and how your sleep, digestion, hormonal balance, skin health, and health generally are all affected by on-going stress.

Relax – learn how to activate your parasympathetic nervous system via various relaxation techniques and vagus nerve activation.

Pamper – using luxurious, vegan, natural, non-toxic skin care products you will be led through a self-facial and pamper.

Nourish – using the essence of nature to nourish and sooth each of the senses leading to a feeling of inner calm and tranquillity.

75-minute session (allow for 90 minutes)

All activities are from the comfort of a reclining chair, dress comfortably for relaxation. Booking link in comments

A Gentle Start

It’s been a gentle start to the new year here at Nourish, recognising the need to go a little slower and prioritising where to put my energy; honouring this seasonal period of hibernation and the joy of slow cooked warming dishes.

As a nutritional therapist I am often the last resort for people with health concerns after they have exhausted every (limited) mainstream resource available. New clients often don’t know what to expect and are often relieved by the gentle nourishing approach I take with them.

My approach does NOT include gym membership, going for a run, or juicing greens; but often DOES include gentle walks, bowls of stew, and early nights. It is about helping you to be kind to yourself, trusting your instincts and allowing yourself to give your body exactly what it needs. To reduce the stress that you are carrying, removing the unrealistic expectations that you are punishing yourself with, and allowing yourself the opportunity to be well.

If this sounds like the kind of approach you need, please email rachel@nourishnt.co.uk or visit the website for more information.

Kinesiology – Muscle Response Testing Update
This month my training has focused on matters of the mind and emotional stress. I have found this absolutely fascinating and cannot wait to start using the techniques in clinic.

If you have worked with me or followed me for a while you will know that I often talk about the mental/emotional layers of a person being just as important to address as the physical. Often, we know what is troubling us or we can recognise how our emotions play a part in our food choices, but sometimes something is wrong and we just don’t know what.

By ā€˜listening’ to the body through muscle response testing, we can ascertain if the issue causing an imbalance is an emotional one and select an appropriate release method or remedy without ever having to talk about it. You can expect to hear more about this in the coming months.

Thank you to all of you that have already given up your time for me to practise on. For the other volunteers I have yet to call on, thank you, I haven’t forgotten you.

To work naturopathically isn’t to dictate to a client, but to teach them why. Knowledge is power, and there is no greater power than feeling in control of your own health.

This week I began my training with renown naturopath Terry Larder from the Classical Kinesology Institute. I am very fortunate to be accepted onto one of Terry’s courses as they are very well regarded, and with over 40 years of experience this is the last course that she will be running, which makes it even more of a privilege for me to attend.

I am learning about how muscles response to food intolerances, emotional imbalances, and Chinese Mu points (used in acupuncture) relating to organ and meridian imbalances. This type of testing basically gives the body a voice to tell us what it wants, doesn’t want and where it needs support.

I’m already blown away with the depth of this course and what I have learnt so far. But I will only be able to use this technique effectively to support my nutritional therapy clients if I become confident in ā€˜listening’ to the body in this way. Therefore, I need lots of practise – and lots of volunteers! Please comment below or DM me if you are interested in being a volunteer.

I’ve really enjoyed holding the A Sense of Nature sessions over the last couple of months. I’m pausing them for now to prioritise time for my nutrition clients, but I hope to be able to restart them again towards the end of the year. šŸ’š
