What an incredible year 2025 has been for all of us at Grosvenor House Care Home. 💙

There have been far too many achievements, laughs, and special memories to list — but when we look back, a few moments shine especially bright.

Our trips out (especially our visit to The Deep in Vippy!) reminded us of the joy of adventure at every age. We proudly celebrated 40 years of continuous service to our wonderful neighbourhood, supported local charities to spread awareness, and honoured three amazing team members who each reached an incredible 25 years of service.

We’ve shared countless meals together (and yes — the food really has been amazing!), launched our very own Dementia Café to support families in our community, and began beautiful intergenerational sessions with Jack in the Box Musical Memories, filling our home with children’s laughter and new friendships.

We were also delighted to welcome Dame Andrea Jenkyns, the Mayor of Greater Lincolnshire, into our home — a truly special highlight.

Our journey toward reducing our carbon footprint has continued with real purpose, and we’ve had more than a few fabulous dress-up days along the way! 🎭🌿

Most importantly, we pause to remember those we have loved and lost this year. Their smiles, stories, and spirits remain part of Grosvenor House forever. 🤍

To our residents, families, friends, and incredible team — thank you. Thank you for trusting us, supporting us, and filling our home with kindness, laughter, and love.

Here’s to another year cherished moments together. ✨

This Christmas, our hearts at Grosvenor House are filled with warmth and gratitude. We’re so thankful for the precious memories we’ve shared this year with our wonderful residents, families, and friends — the laughter, the stories, and the moments that remind us what family truly means.

We also take time to reflect and remember those we have lost. Their smiles, their wisdom, and their spirit live on in our hearts and in the life of our home. They will always be part of the Grosvenor House family.

From all of us at Grosvenor House, we wish our families and friends a peaceful, joyful, and heartfelt Merry Christmas. May this season bring comfort, love, and cherished moments to you all. 🎄✨

One of our favourite times of the festive period is when we are joined by the wonderful Springthorpe Choir 🎶

Their beautiful singing fills Grosvenor House with such a festive atmosphere and truly captures the feeling of Christmas. With plenty of sherry and mince pies enjoyed by all, it was a very special afternoon indeed.

A huge thank you to Springthorpe Choir for joining us once again – it was perfect, as always ❤️🎄

We’re delighted to introduce the newest addition to our Grosvenor House family, beautiful baby Freya. Here she is on a lovely visit with her Great Grandma, alongside Grandma — a precious moment bringing generations together.

It’s always so special to see family connections celebrated, and we’re so pleased to share this heart-warming moment as Freya begins her journey into the world! ❤️

It’s fun for all the family and the perfect opportunity to pick up some last-minute Christmas gifts, enjoy the festive atmosphere, and get into the Christmas spirit 🎄✨

🎄✨ What a magical time we had at our Jack in the Box Musical Memories Christmas Party! ✨🎄

Our intergenerational session at Grosvenor House Care Home was made extra special with a wonderful visit from Santa Claus and Mrs Claus, who brought along a little early present as a reward for being so good this year 🎅🤶❤️

Together, the children and residents enjoyed making reindeer food ready for Christmas Eve, singing lots of Christmas songs, and dancing to get everyone into the festive spirit 🎶🦌💃

A huge thank you to all our wonderful families for joining us and to everyone at Grosvenor House for sharing such a special day with us. We’ve had a great time and can’t wait to see you all in the New Year! 🎉✨

After lots of busy afternoons and evenings, five Christmas trees, thousands of twinkling lights and hundreds of baubles, we are finally finished decking out our home for the festive season — and it looks absolutely magical!

Every corner is sparkling with Christmas cheer, and we are truly feeling the festive spirit. ❤️

We do have one final surprise to add to the garden later this week… so keep an eye out! 😉

Our home is glowing, cosy, and ready for a wonderful month ahead. Let the celebrations begin! 🎅✨

🎄✨ We had such a wonderful time this morning at our Christmas-themed Jack in the Box Musical Memories session!

There was plenty of singing, jingling and big smiles all round as we got into the festive spirit together. ❤️🎶

Our children’s sessions run every other Tuesday and are completely free — everyone is welcome!

🎉 Our next session will be Tuesday 16th, and it’s a special one… our Children’s Christmas Party!

We’ll have lots of fun, festive activities and a very special visitor popping in (yes… it’s Santa! 🎅).
