Good afternoon

I hope you’ve all managed a little sunshine in your lives over the weekend. ☀️

I took advantage of a closed road near me yesterday morning to have a lovely run without any motor vehicles - bliss (and the deer, hares, rabbits and birds that I saw all agreed too!)

Lots of washing dried on the line - up to date with my work laundry, and my bedding and own towels .. ‘Little wins’!🧺

A very enjoyable walk with a friend early this morning (carrying dumbbells so that we could work our upper bodies too 💪) and I’m just home from an equally enjoyable community litter pick - 20 locals out cleaning up the verges in and around the village, picking up litter and then sitting and sharing tea, coffee, cake and chat. A lovely sociable event.

In other news.. I’m the very happy owner of a new painting hung in the treatment room. My clients know that I like to support local artists - a Charlotte Kessler ( https://www.charlottejanekessler.co.uk ) in the client cloakroom, a Carly Gilliatt (https://carlygilliatt.com )in the treatment room, and now a Wayne Jenner too.. He’s based in Stow and has some works on display in the Cross Keys at Stow. I love this one and hope you all like it too.

Excellent news.. if any clients want to bring empty blister packets to their appointments I'm happy to pop them round to the surgery

I’d planned to be up at the allotment about now but with the sky the colour it is, and the occasional downpours, I’ll maybe go up a little later…

I did make the most of a bright morning - despite the cold breeze - going to the lovely churchyard at Coates .. It’s my favourite destination and didn’t disappoint with its flowers, birds and peace… I did give a little thought to those of you who were pounding the streets of Lincoln for the 10K (and Paris for the marathon!)…

Like many of you maybe have done over the last few weeks, I visited a local garden centre yesterday - I didn’t get much as my pots are still full of colour, (I’ll share a few photos of my tulips)- but couldn’t resist a few chamomile plants.. I love the smell as you walk on it.

I hope you’re all coping with whatever is currently on your plates - and that, for all of us, the stormy skies clear soon…

Good evening

I have to say I do love a 4 day weekend - time with family and friends and getting caught up on jobs AND some R & R too.. I know not all of you had that luxury but I hope you still managed to enjoy your Easter..

I had a lovely morning out in the Lincolnshire Wolds today - and spent a little time sitting next to the gorgeous Lincolnshire Longwool sheep and lambs which are in a field on the Viking Way. Oh and I was very lucky to receive the perfect Easter Eggs from someone who knows me so well….

I’ve had quite a few late cancellations and people needing to rearrange appointments so do check my latest availability.

Good evening.. I do love the lighter evenings when we change the clocks - but it does take a few days to get used to getting up an hour earlier...

I've had a really enjoyable weekend with friends who came up from London - lots of walking (Doddington Hall and the Trent bank), it was VERY cold for the tour round the outside of Lincoln Castle yesterday, which finished in a hailstorm!! but we had lovely meals out at a tapas restaurant on the Strait and The Cross Keys in Stow..

I hope you like some of the cartoons and quotes I share with you... I had conversations with a couple of clients this week about losing it if you don't use it... And this is an excellent excuse to live your life instead of doing housework ;)

We are closed Good Friday and Easter Monday. Have a lovely long weekend...

Good evening..

Not such a warm day today and yesterday morning started very misty.. but so many signs of Spring surround us. The flowers bringing colour and a smile, the birds joyfully telling us (well their potential mates 😉) to look at how stunning their bright plumage is.. the chaffinches, great t**s and yellow hammers have been my stars this week on morning runs and walks..

I had a very exerciseful (ooh spellcheck doesn’t like my made up word - a big red wiggly line!!) middle of the week .. a great 6.45 am strength class with Lucy on Tuesday, tough circuits and fit-pump at 6pm and 7pm with Jane on Wednesday and a wonderful Pilates with Nicky on Thursday during a cheeky late lunch break. I love these very different classes - only 4 in the Pilates group, up to 28 in Fitpump, all ages in circuits, fitpump and Pilates.. all excellent value for money Lucy £6 for 45 mins, Jane £9 each class or a bargain £14 for 2 hours and Nicky £10 for an hour of almost 1 to 1 tuition…

Heads up for any of you that knit or crochet.. Stow village need red poppies for a Remembrance Day event… I’ll be posting details of the size etc when i have more info.. but get your needles and hooks limbered up

Finally - not long until the first client draw for the March £10 Cross Keys voucher …

Good afternoon - I hope your weekend plans have all come to fruition 🙂

The perfect weather (for a change) for my run on Saturday morning was tainted by the pile of rubbish dumped on one of the back roads.. grrrrrrr.. other views on my daily walks this week made up for it.. the sun reflected in the water flooding the footpath around the parish field, and just look at the faces of those calves…

I also shopped at 2 local businesses on Saturday that I invite you to visit - the lovely Sue at Quayside Gifts on Burton Waters will be closing after Easter weekend. She sells a lovely selection of gifts and cards, and stock is disappearing quickly with 30% off in her closing down sale. I’ll pop the link in the comments.
Also Pauline at East Farm, Normanby by Stow, who along with home reared, grass fed and grass finished beef, sells beautiful dried flowers.

I’m updating availability up to the end of May on our client page in a few minutes.
