Donna popped into Tescos this morning and picked up a donation from them for the patients and staff on the ward as part of their community charities project. Our patients and staff will really appreciate these Thankyou!!
We are going to use the facecloths and soap as part of packs for the relatives of palliative or poorly patients staying overnight ….this may seem a small thing but it will make a big difference to them

4 teams!

Will the red hot 🌶 Chilli steppers raise the heat of the competition
Or the Scrambled 🥚Legs poach the lead while the Stroll Patrol 🚨 step up the pace or will The Walkie Talkies 📻 cut the chat and increase their volume of steps 👟 👟 watch this space 🚶🚶🚶 xx

Staff were able to wear Christmas scrubs over the festive period which made the patients smile!
We also made Christmas placemats to use on the tables at mealtimes

Last month we were visited by Sarah and Jackie of whom donated an amazing sum of £483.50 to the wards Lincolnshire NHS Charity charitable funds Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust
They also donated the same amount to the Headway Brain Injury Charity.

It was a pleasure to show them both around our new ward and to hear the story behind the calendar as explained below by them both

The idea to create a charity calendar was inspired by both Sarah and Jackie, aiming to raise funds to offer something pleasant for the ward and to enhance the days of both patients and staff. This initiative seeks to support our local facilities, catering to those in need of care, while also promoting happiness and alleviating stress. Having both worked in the care sector previously, we understand the challenges of providing even the simplest comforts. Therefore, by contributing to this worthy cause, we hope to bring a touch of joy with the monies we have donated.
Sarah also donated 30 fidgets devices for cognitive function and dexterity that staff and patients can use.
