Meet Luna pictured here with Denise our trainee nurse associate. Luna came to ward today to visit ‘dad’ who is a patient on our ward
Dad walked the whole length of the ward to the day room to see Luna (that is after the staff let go! )
On Scotter Ward we encourage pets to visit it really boosts the patients to see their beloved pets and boosts their rehab and it’s great to see the smiles from other patients ….and the staff!! when they visit Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust

All the staff on duty today took part in the 2 minute silence with the patients today and we also welcomed mayor Kenneth Woolley to lay a wreath from Gainsborough Town Council at the memorial at the hospital. Thank you

Oh my goodness we cannot believe the response to our last post asking for help from any crafters willing to make us some hearts for our palliative patients! Thank you everyone!!
We recieved our first ones in the post on Wednesday with a lovely message

Can any crafters help us?
On Scotter Ward we are always striving to enhance the journey and experience for patients and their families…..we have a palliative care suite on the ward and when a patient sadly passes away we have hearts such as these that we offer to give one to the patient when they leave the ward for their journey to the undertaker’s and give the second one to a member of the family as a forever keepsake. We are in need of more. They don’t have to be hearts and can be any shapes, material, colours or patterns …just matching. If anyone can help we would be most grateful 💕
