Back in 2022, Shona used her design skills to create the BHC logo. Drawing inspiration from the skylines of local landmarks we all know and love ❤️

The Three Brethren, Selkirk is our top line!

Many of our clients will know the song ‘Auld Selkirk’ 🎶 it helped inspire the rest of the design…

Followed by Gala’s Buckholm Hill, Hawick’s Minto Hills, and the Eildon Hills in Melrose, the flowing layers reflect the landscape that surrounds and shapes our community.

But the design carries a second meaning too 👂✨

The contours also echo the distinctive lines also seen in a hearing test, a subtle connection between the natural environment we know so well and the precision behind better hearing care 💙

Shona and Andrew have been studying communication styles as part of their team development ✨💪

Shona’s top language is INFLUENCER – intuitive, inclusive, fun, and a true people person, thriving on connection and inspiring others with warmth and vision. 💡

Louise and Catherine showed up as Contemplators and Responders too = a great blend across the team!🥰

Shona was delighted to visit the wonderful Galashiels Ex-Service Pipe Band and support the fantastic work they do within the community.

She took the opportunity to chat with band members about the importance of protecting and looking after their hearing — especially when surrounded by such incredible music!

We’re proud to become patrons of the band and look forward to supporting them in the future.

Significant others often play a huge role in someone’s hearing health journey. A caring partner can encourage a hearing test, provide support during the process, and help reduce the stigma around hearing aids. Instead of a passive role, significant others can play an active role in supporting individuals to develop their readiness for hearing aid adoption.

Next week in support of Dementia Action week we are inviting you to bring your partner or someone close to you and book a FREE shared appointment. It’s a simple way to better understand your hearing and support each other along the way.
