🍂 Supporting Your Lungs in Late Autumn 🍂
As we move deeper into autumn, the air turns cooler and drier — and our lungs become a little more vulnerable. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the lungs are connected to our breath, skin, and immune system, helping us take in what we need and release what we don’t.
When the lungs are strong, our energy feels clear and steady. But when they’re out of balance, we might notice a tired chest, dry skin, lingering coughs, or a sense of low mood or grief — emotions also linked with the lungs.
🌿 A few ways to care for yourself:
Breathe deeply — slow breaths expand and strengthen lung energy.
Keep warm, especially around your neck and chest.
Eat warm, moist foods like soups and stews to counter autumn dryness.
Let go — both physically and emotionally — to make space for renewal.
Acupuncture can help strengthen the lungs, support immunity, and restore balance through the seasonal shift.
Caring for your lungs in autumn helps you build resilience for the colder months ahead — one calm breath at a time. 💚
