Here is a Generic Price List of the most common issues. Please PM me if you have any queries or guitar issues that are not listed.

General setup, clean and new strings (not incl):

Hardtail/Fixed Bridge - £40
Floating bridge (floyd rose/kahler/ibanez style) - £50
Acoustic - £50
Bass guitar - £40

Fretwork -
level, crown and polish from £80
Complete re-fret - from £150

Electronics work (E.g scratchy volume/tone pots, buzzing when plugged in, pickup replacements etc) from £30 - please PM to discuss requirements.

Other more detailed works will require an appointment to look over what needs done.

So, I hate to “hate” on this Gibson, SJ 200 standard. but for a £4000+ guitar. Yes. More than 4 grand! The attention to detail on the fretting, setup, fretboard and nut was absolutely shocking. I’ve seen better guitars for less than £400! Fret ends sharp and not smoothed/rounded at all. Fretboard was as rough as a bit of burnt toast. Nut pinching strings. Weird saddle intonation was at least 20 cents sharp on every wound string. ANYWAY, a little TLC and attention to detail and this thing is now playing to the level of the “value” of this thing. Sounds great and looks amazing.

Issue: Strings look they’re in the Grand Canyon on your PRS nut? No problem.
I have the solution. Check the before and after pics to see how much more elegant, functional and comfortable the nut on your PRS (or any other guitar) can be.

A beautiful and absolutely KILLER sounding Martin HD28 passed through this week for a quick tune up before a gig. Had a few minor issues, including some over exuberant glue application on the fretboard. I assume to glue down the frets (psst…it didn’t work!). Managed to scrape off all the surface glue and get this set up nicely. Frets and Bone nut polished, and saddle filed to improve intonation. Could do with some proper attention on the lifting frets, but it plays fine as it is now and I wasn’t tasked with it. All this was done in my brand new warm setup shop in the home office.

Julie Hamilton’s Les Paul bending issues fixed.

The 18th and 19th frets were just a ball hair too high which was choking out the note when bending from the 17th.
A quick run over with the stew Mac fret kisser, and a crown and polish if the frets mean this special edition 59 les Paul is back to playing it’s best.

Other work done was to round off the fret ends, which were a little unkempt straight from the factory. The nut slots were also fettled to alleviate the normal Les Paul tuning issues.

Pretty chuffed with the end result.

This was a chewed up 1976 p-bass neck that had been butchered to fit into another body.

Quick rundown of the work was to:
NECK-
Clean up the cut with a router, shape piece of maple to fit and then graft on.

Reshape neck and then re-radius the board and refret with stainless steel jumbo frets.
Refinish fretboard with clear lacquer

BODY
New body built from cherry with a flamed sycamore cap. (All locally felled trees)
Fitted with Seymour Duncan quarter pounders
Fender hi mass bridge

Couple of little projects I have on just now.

1974/5 strat that requires a bit fret work and wood work. Originally an Olympic white finish, it’s been stripped and clear coated at some point.

The other is a 1974ish Fender P-Bass neck that had been butchered to fit into an old cheap jazz bass body 😫
Managed to piece in some maple and currently giving the board a new 9.5” radius and a refret with stainless steel frets.
