π Reflecting π
Today marks 10 years since I earned my Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture.
I started the degree as single mum of 2 children sharing a house with my cousin. During my studies I met my now hubby, had a baby, we moved to the lovely Garstang (60 miles from my home town) and got married - I certainly don't do things by halves.
The last 10 years have been incredibly rewarding, I've done things I didn't think I was capable of, worked with some amazing people and have helped lots and lots of people.
But like with everything in life it wasn't all plain sailing. My health was suffering (the irony) and during the pandemic I had to admit defeat and give myself some much needed convalescence. I chose to close my clinic and take the easier road of working from home, something super hard for somebody who loves to be striving and achieving and usually takes the hard road π
I removed a lot of stressors, have worked half my usual hours and have been spending the other half of my time getting lots of treatment myself, resting, recuperating and reassessing.
I've a little more healing to do but once I'm there I'll be raring to see what the next 10 years brings, helping people in bigger and better ways whilst also keeping myself happy and healthy too.
I'd like to thank my incredibly loyal patients who have trusted me to help them and been nothing but supportive over the last few years when I needed to help myself too. Without you I wouldn't have a business, I am truly grateful to each and every one of you and thank you from the bottom of my heart π
