Call your maternity unit straight away if:
- Your baby’s movements feel weaker or less often
- The usual pattern of movements changes
- You haven’t felt any movements for a while
- Something just doesn’t feel right

👉 These changes don’t always mean something is wrong. But it’s safest to get checked. Your maternity team is always there for you.

FREE Baby First Aid Skills!

Would you know what to do in a First aid emergency💉🚑? Would you like to learn the basic skills to help your baby if anything should happen? Here at our Family Hubs we are offering a FREE Baby first aid course where we will cover how to perform CPR, what to do if your baby is choking and what to do if your baby has drowned.

On 15th October at 7pm, we’ll gather at Souter Lighthouse, Whitburn, to take part in a truly special global moment of remembrance.

Families across the world will light candles to honour all babies and children who sadly died too soon. Together, our candles create a continuous wave of light that encircles the globe, a symbol of love, unity, and enduring memory. 💖💙

Join us for an evening filled with music, readings and poems that bring comfort and connection. Candles and remembrance cards are provided free of charge.

This week, many of our amazing maternity team members have had their flu vaccine, helping to protect themselves, their colleagues, families, and the people they care for. 💪

Getting your flu vaccine is especially important if you’re a healthcare professional or pregnant. It helps keep you, your baby, and those around you safe. 🤰💙

If you’re pregnant and would like to have any of the recommended vaccines, please speak to your midwife or come along to one of our drop-in sessions:
