Huge thank you to Samantha and family for our patient story for this week! 👶😍❤

"We began our IVF journey in 2024 following 2 years of trying for a family and unexplained infertility. Following our egg retrieval we were very fortunate to have a number of embryos suitable for transfer. Sadly our fresh embryo transfer was unsuccessful in May.

"We then progressed with a frozen transfer in August. Fast forward a year and we have a gorgeous 3 month old daughter called Lyra. Words can't explain how it feels to hold our baby in our arms at last. We can't thank the team at Gateshead Fertility enough. Not only are they experts at what they do but they are so caring throughout the process and always put us at ease.

📚💖 Book Club event TOMORROW NIGHT, hosted by our friends 💖📚

On Tuesday 2 September at 7.30pm, the Fertility Alliance is hosting their next book club where they'll be joined by Isabel Davis and Anna Burel who will be talking about their book 'Conceiving Histories.'

The book is a fascinating and beautifully illustrated account of trying to conceive in both the past and the present. There will be a Q&A followed by plenty of time for you to ask your own questions!

A huge thank you to Kirsty and family for a lovely (and exceptionally detailed!) message! We had to cut it down a little but we were absolutely delighted to see the update and couldn't wait to share with our followers! 🙌💖✨

"We started our IVF journey in February 2021 after 2 and a half years of TTC with no success. Numerous tests had previously shown there to be no obvious reason why we couldn’t get pregnant so we were diagnosed with “unexplained infertility” and unfortunately due to the pandemic, we were told the previous August that the waiting list for treatment was 9 months. It was a wonderful surprise when only 5 months later the letter arrived to tell us we were next on the list to start treatment. We were actually moving house the following week and then 5 days later found ourselves in clinic for our blood tests and to pick up our information pack. We both felt so excited, disbelief that the day had actually arrived but so so nervous of everything to come."

"10 days later and armed with all the consent forms we were back for our consultation, medication lesson and schedule which was to start in 5 days time. Kuva and Isaac were so patient, answering all the questions we had."

"[Fast forward a few months! ⏩] Our baby girl, Olivia was born on 6th December 2021 via c section. We have never felt love like it and each day she just gets better and better.

"We owe everything to Gateshead fertility and we constantly recommend them to everyone we speak to who is struggling to conceive. You absolutely changed our lives in the most incredible way possible. Thank you for everything."

🗣👶"Me my husband started treatment February 2021at the QE. We had our first round which resulted in our little boy Arthur born December 2021. We then froze our two remaining embryos, one didn't work out. Then in July 2023 we transferred our final embryo, which was successful and we now have our little girl Elsie born march 2024. We can't thank the QE enough we are so lucky and will be forever grateful to the staff at the QE who are just amazing." 🗣👶
